Has it been established that Rajmund had held PZPR membership?

People like him didn't get what he had without membership.

You're the journalist, why don't you investigate?

Worth looking into, however I'm sure you're aware that membership records were destroyed.

Along with quite a few other records. So many that they had to take them in crates and have a bonfire. Allegedly Oleksy did it.

Jaruzelski and Kiszczak shipped tonnes of documents to the papermill in Konstancin Jeziorna in 1989-90 for mulcving and recycling. However the existence of IPN shows that only a fraction of the records were destroyed. Yesty Gauck said they (the post-GDR authorities) mananged to seize thousands of sacks of ton docuemtns before they could be destroyed. They are no being digitally recreated. The GDR henchmen did not have enough shredders who they manually tore up documents into bits and placed them in sacks.

It is hard to imagine how them departing would be much of a loss to Poland.

If you really find it hard to imagine why the murder of 160,000 Poles-- Poles with families that love them-- would be much of a loss for Poland, then your hatred has made you irrational and inhuman.

True, mass murder is never particularly good for international relations regardless of how much it improves your country in the long run.

Mass-murder doesn't improve a country. People the Soviets have planted in Poland may believe otherwise, but they are wrong

Perhaps Poland would be a better place if we murdered 160,000 Radio Maryja listeners every year

So why did he and his sidekicks keep denying it? He not only made it passive (they should be murdered) but actuallysaid 'if WE murdered', therefore including himself amongst the wannabe murderers. Just say you're sorry for the gaffe, slip of the tongue or getting away and be done with it.

Because that makes them look bad, like psychopaths.

Sorry mods but is there a reason that 'polonius' is allowed to continue to lie about what another poster said? Especially as he's waited until the said poster is not able to defend himself.

no, it's not true. They destroyed a lot of UB and WSI documents, most of the records of informers. But information of PZPR membership one could find in the employee's personal files - in case of Rajmund Kaczyński - at the Politechnika Warszawska. As yet - nobody found such information. And I have mention - the Kaczyński family neighbours i know are sure, he WASN'T in PZPR.

And, Delphi, it's not true, that "People like him didn't get what he had without membership". You didn't live in Poland then...

^ Given that the government files apparently contain not a single word about duck-boy's sexuality, we can safely say that the files are far from complete.

oh my... How do you know about "duck-boy's" sexuality? Did you speak with his "lover"? Have you seen them in bed or in the toiltes of Dworzec Centralny? And it's true, that commie-govenment liked to know as much as possible about citizens' personal life, but it was impossible to know all about all of them...

Has anyone in a prominent position acted in a peculiar way recently? In particular, in a way that could damage Polish relations with one of Russia's neighbours? Just asking ...
