It is rather strange to deny the existence of atheist Catholics - there are so many of them that one would have to be blind not to see them.

They are pretty much the same as atheist Jews - they identify with Catholicism, belong to the Church formally, they even participate in some religious events (like baptisms, church funerals and weddings) and describe themselves as Catholics - in Germany they even PAY THE CHURCH TAX, but they don't believe in God (which is a rather good reason to consider them atheists, isn't it?), and treat the aforementioned religious events as cultural things/family traditions. They are self-declared Catholics and self-declared atheists. I know several of them myself.

The phenomenon was very well described by Franco Garelli in his book Religion the Italian Way - most of what he wrote there about Italian Catholic-atheists can be applied to Polish Catholic-atheists as well.

If they are IN the church going through the motions of the upper and downers for whatever reason then they could very well be atheists.

If they are OF the church and say 'The Apostles Creed' then they are not atheists unless they are lying.

They're not even Jewish demands, but American Jewish demands. From what I can gather from the Israeli internet, there's a lot of resentment towards these guys because they do nothing to help actual Israelis in need.

The one good thing is that almost everyone in Poland seems to be agreed on telling them to go to hell.

There are hundreds of thousands of American Jews living in Israel.

American Jews in the USA lobby their Congress all the time to send billions of dollars over to Israel while American roads, bridges, schools and hospitals crumble and US Veterans go homeless and sleep rough on the streets.

That leaves billions they don't have to spend on defence. Israel puts the billions saved into cradle to grave social programs for Jews only.

Jews deserve reparations. The point is from which country. Poland technically was NOT an "aggressor" nation, that is, one of the Axis Powers. Germany was and therefore, as I've said before, has her cross to bear.

Do German non-Jews also deserve reparations? A tough sell, but naturally, even the "enemy" were not all in the same boat, and any average German suckered into the fight against THEIR "enemies" cannot be compared with a willing, unrepentant executioner, one of the surviving minions who did their Fueher's bidding willingly, e.g.

Oberlaender, Mengele, Clauberg etc.

The problem is that it's not really Jews demanding it, but certain very well connected groups. A lot of ordinary Jewish people are deeply unhappy about them, because the money is spent on their first class international travel and five star hotels rather than on helping Jewish people.

And any of the jews that did deserve some kind of compensation are all dead and gone.

To help makes this clear to you, Poland has a legitimate claim because the deliberate destruction caused by Germany took an enormous toll on Poland's economy and population and has left scars which haven't been compensated for spanning entire generations.
