Eb, I like you, I really like you! ;)

It's in the history books about Elizabeth Bathory, lol. At least you weren't snoozing during the history exam - have a cookie!

Hey, us Californians gotta stick together, even if the people out here still think of me as a "slow, little" Iowan. I've read about Elżbieta Batory--bad lady. I'm partial to her grandfather, though.

You must get that impression corrected. Remind them you are a "slow, little" Missourian from the Ozarks.

While, I've spent more than my fair share of time deep in the Ozarks, I was raised an Iowan. Plus, most of my MO time was spent in the Northern half around you in St. Peters, F15guy.

Eb, Lady Bathory's family was pretty good - unfortunately, she used it to her own advantage, and unfortunately, she wasn't caught until she preyed upon the Nobility's daughters.

No worries, Julie. Your family is comendable for capturing the "Blood Countess." I think is so cool that you're a descendant of such a historic family.

The Poles conspired with the Nazis to kill most of that country's 3 million Jews.

3 million Polish Jews were murdered by the Nazis and Polish collaboration is a matter of record

Where were more Jews murdered. Poland or Canada? Poland. Where were more death camps located? Poland. Where were government leaders compliant? Hmmmm. Canada? No, maybe Poland.

It's ok, you are polish afterall; a living justification to all the dumb polish jokes I love to hear

this is completely unrelated to the Polish treatment of Jews over the years. I think we can all agree that it was horrendou and barbaric, culminating in the Holocaust, and still continuing even after.

These children [young Israelis] are victims who are still suffering from what the people of Poland allowed to happen

Poland does have the distinction of being host to the biggest genocide

the death camps could not have operated without the general consent of the populace. There were none in Denmark.

And these are all talkbacks from a single article (except the very last one) published in Ynetnews.com few days ago.

Who really hates WHOM?

Haaretz gets even better with slanderous and preposterous allegations.

LOL !!! Jews are probably the most Polonophobic nation in the world but they are smart enough to make themselves look like victims no matter what really happens.

Did you even read what the artical was about? If you knew history at all you would know that Polands people were the victim's reguardless of who they prayed to. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of where this anti-Polish stems from.

Just in case you are not aware the question in this is "Polish hatred towards Jews" not "Jewish hatred towards Polish"

Yes, and I summed it up with this question: who really hates whom.

This is so sad. Children are being educated in Israel that Poland, not "occupied" Poland was in control. I say it's time Poland starts setting the "Nation" straight.

After all that our families went through to have blame placed on the ones that lost the most is beyond words. After all it was Poland's people that were attacked in 1939, not "Jewish".

The topic of this discussion should be Jews hatred toward Poles and not the other way around. As long as many of the media outlets are in Jewish hands, there is no chance for presenting our point. Is it hey they use that shaming us to force us to accept some demands? What is the reason for this hatred, can it be money? I just can not figure out where the money is. Do they expect some reparations? Possibly compensations for lost property. Is it that some can claim Polish citizenship now as a means of entry to Europe?

Possibly to force Polish government to support Israel regardless of circumstances (similar to German government).
Since we do not have access to the world media we cannot do anything about it. As for actions of our government, the best position would be to indicate that it does not make Poles friendly toward them. Government may indicate that under a pressure of population it may not be so supportive of Israel on the international arena. Treat them as adversary.

On the long run it is going to harm them, and as usual it will harm most those who do not deserve it.
There is that clever thing in it: Is it a religion or the nation? One should treat it as one and the same. Because of the "law of return" every Jew is a citizen of the state of Israel. Every Jew is concerned with this state and Israel can influence his actions.

Pole"No,we suffered the most!"..

You've got It completely wrong. More or less like this...

Jew "Poles were worse than nazis. They are antisemitic ! They owe us $100 billion..."
Pole "F. you damn Jew"
Jew "Antisemitism ! Antisemitism ! Oy vey !"

Poles were my family's friends, they never called us "Bzyd", they even held my grandfather of such high esteem that they asked him to be a judge. Yet there were strings attached - if he wanted the position he had to be converted to Christianity.

My grandfather disagreed even that he was not a religious Jew, he was even against religion - never took part in Jewish feasts. He explained that it was beneath his dignity to leave a small poor people for a position.

I think that pointing to message boards as proof of general Jewish hate for Poles or the other way around is fairly lame. People with a grudge to bear either legitimate or more likely not, are more likely to post messages than people that don't.

I'm fairly certain that the Jew who posted about the holocaust being in Poland not Canada would be laughed at if he/she said the same thing in amongst a collection of randomly slected Jews. Safer to post such moronic statements annonymously on a message board.

I am sure, you're right, but at the same time it is quite weird, that when one person makes such a statement, others cheerfully applause.

forum exchange:

"Museum fees are one thing - paying host countries Germany and Poland to see where ones families were murdered by them is something beyond the level of economics."

"Are you suggesting that Poland was one of the countries that murdered people in concentration camps?"

"Of course, there were concentration camps in Poland as well as in Germany. Any reliable history of the Holocaust will tell you that. Auschwitz is in Poland, for example."

Quicky another 'scholar' joined the conversation:

"I think the germans knew exactly what they were doing when they put Auschwitz in Poland. They knew the Polish sentiment towards the Jews.
As a jew from Russia, I can tell you that all of us know that in Europe, the places where jews were hated most were Germany and Poland."

And then the one asking the question ('r u suggesting') is called an antisemite, jew hating, lier and history rewritter (no doubt this was me who asked) - on that and many other threads.

I am sorry, but when one sees such a thing - one cannot stay indifferent. I don't even blame those people, no-one can get such retarded ideas like Poles responsible for holokaust 'just like that'.

Someone, SOMEONE, must have taught them this.

Enough.

This was my last post on this subject - I kinda hijacked the thread, I am sorry for that.

I just hope, that you DO understand the basic physics: action -> reaction. Polish-Jewish relations have a very, very long history, almost a millenium, are very complex and cannot be painted out in black-and-white in 5 minutes.

Poles are not angels, never were, but constant accusations from the Jews, who DO paint themselves as nothing more but saint martyrs, are totally off, not true, unjust and not fair.

Food for thought.

Cheers,
~g.

Of course, people forget that Poles themselves were tossed into Auscwitz - just ask my Roman Catholic Elders who survived it, while under NAZI OCCUPATION!

Have you forgotten already what happened with Katyn!? That's when the Polish Intellectuals, Officers, anyone with a brain was brutally MURDERED. After that, Poland had serious issues, without her LEADERS, when the Nazis came in. Like beheading a dragon, and watching her flounder.

Yes - Stalin & Hitler had a plan - and the Poles and the Jews were NEITHER part of it. "Land grab" speaks heavily here, and we weren't supposed to survive.

This is a good point...but, you realize, in Canada, because of 'hate crime' laws, a non-Jew cannot use the word 'Jew' in public, unless he talks of Jews being slaughtered by the millions in the holocaust, and offers his 'repentance'.

I think you have badly mis-understood what constitutes a "hate crime." Saying "Die, Jew, die" while stomping the person would be a hate crime. Saying "I don't think Jews are fair in their treatment of Palestines" would not.

Jew.

He said Jehova!
