The majorities were being exterminated just as spectacularly.

Not poor people. Not people without influence.

You talk about the uniqueness of Jewish "helplessness" - what then about the Gypsies you yourself mentioned? They don't have their own state, and their "helplessness" was such - that still most people pretend the genocide against them never occurred. Zero museums - zero fancy exhibits.
