81st Anniversary of the Liberation of the Auschwitz Concentration and Extermination Camp

Fought a defensive war of survival

Especially attacking and murdering Poles on September 17, 1939.
Suffered ~27 million dead

Which, in the event of winning the war, only confirms that the Russians walked over the dead bodies... of their own and foreigners.
3) Did NOT build rape, massacre,
or extermination into state ideology

They implemented it perfectly, regardless of ideology.

Bobko, just use Google translate and it will come out in your native language.
Been telling Ironside for years now, but to no avail. Doth arrogance make fools of us all!
AntV mentioned pagans and I merely concurred.

@Lyzko

Not that Bobko needs a defender, but...

Bobko and I have talked on the phone a couple of times. I can attest that his command of the English language is nothing short of a high-level native speaker.

Seriously, I thought I was talking to Mark van Doren.

xD

PF - where drama and comedy collide.

EDIT: dammit, I promised BB to get out of this thread today. *ducks and runs*

Greek classic...

@AntV,
If his English is as good as the late, great Shakespeare scholar M v.D, then he has low brain wattage, because my posts are plain as day.
Not a question then of language ability, merely gray matter.

because my posts are plain as day

Dude... believe me, they are not; and there's definitely nothing wrong with Bobko's gray matter.

I think you write mainly for yourself. YOU know what you wanted to say and why. As for others... well.

*now I'm really out of here*

Hopefully to benefit others.
To an impartial native English speaker, there is nothing wrong with my posts.

Today it's hard to imagine that 6 millions Jews killed by nazi lived in Poland and a couple of neighboring countries, considering that today the whole Israel population is 10 million. Times change I guess.
Bobko  30 | 3102

No, they are just more advanced.

Similis simili gaudet.

One donkey; scratching another...

Amazing how you do not hide your mutual affiliations. If I was one idiot, I would do my best to avoid other idiots - lest people condemn me through association. Instead - you lot run to each other's help.

You and Milo and Lyzko should create a political party - tomorrow you will have 50% of votes.

It's equally unfathomable that any nation grew so bereft of basic humanity that it could allow such to occur within their very midst, practically under their very noses!

As Leonard Krieger observed in his book "The German Idea of Freedom", the German idea of freedom was the freedom to be subjugated. Following the failed Vormaerz in 1848, democracy was all but finished in Germany, witness the Weimar gov't. fiasco some eighty years later.

I have an unbearable urge to beat you over the head with a chair until you finally stop.

Kania is right - you write for your own sick, sadistic pleasure....

Sadistic - because there is no way you don't understand what you are doing.

You are a consummate troll. A museum example.

You are a pedagogue? Correct?

You teach young people?

I don't understand??!
That's rich coming a cross-culturally clueless twit whose first culture is Russian, not Anglo-Saxon!
You get my words, but neither my meaning...nor my spirit and my humor.

Better luck next time, Boboshko old man. 😆

You are the culturally clueless twit - lol!

Sitting here for years, playing at theater of affinity with the Poles, with every one who has the will or the interest dunking you into your own feces. Strange creature that you are - you always return for seconds.

You have as much understanding of the Poles, as you do of your own country - which is zero!

What are you doing here?
Lyzko  48 | 10631

I might ask the same question, but I won't get the same answer.
You 'll learn wisdom eventually.

You 'll learn wisdom eventually.

You accused me of being unable to correctly interpret Anglo cultural cues...

I have lived in Anglo countries for more than half of my life. I was educated here, and work with locals. I travelled all across this land, talking to farmers, factory workers, white collar folks, and others.

I have studied and worked alongside and rubbed up against: veterans, diplomats, and activists.

The fact that you decided to attack me on the grounds of "cultural incomprehension", like you did with Ironside, shows what an intellectual low life you are.

Stand up for yourself, without inventing fables in your head about the opposite number.

Otherwise it smacks of your talk about "oppressed Polish women".

Methinks thou protesteth too much.
A more intellectually secure person would concede that maybe, just maybe, I might have some valid arguments too.

A more intellectually secure person

I constantly grant latitude to non-idiot arguments on this platform, and engage with them in good faith.

More than once, I have been proven wrong - and had then reconsidered my views thereafter. I think any honest person here will confirm this for you.

might have some valid arguments too.

There are no arguments evident in your writing - to agree or disagree with. This is the point - do you understand?

You write non-sequiturs like Alien does, that succeed only at stopping the conversation - preventing others from carrying it on.

This certainly does feel like onanism, or some sort of auto-fellatio as Torq suggested. Gratuitous posting. You have a build up in your lower intestine, and feel you must release the next batch upon us - lest the pressure become too much - and you do it.

But at the same time - you claim you are a professor, a lover of the region, a cosmopolitan, etc - and so people engage with you... every time only to be disappointed.

Herein lies the core difference between between the Russian vs. the Anglo-American mentality, Bobko. I'm willing to concede that you might have salient points, but you aren't willing, perhaps able, to concede that I might have equally valid arguments.
This is your limitation. It has to do with your educational system.

I wish I could take you seriously - as a representative of the Anglo-American mentality....

Instead, I think you are yourself viewed as some sort of fruitcake within the space you claim.
Lyzko  48 | 10631
27 Jan 2026   #54
It takes a fruitcake to know one!
Projecting your own nuttiness perhaps?
Wish I knew Russian well enough to culturally translate what I've posted heretofore.

In what way?

I wish I could take you seriously

... I'll try my best to convene both of your sentiments in Lyzkoleeze.
*Cough cough*

Oh my can't you hear their sorrow, their veiling. Are you deaf to their pleas? Do you wish them worse then what sons of Abraham had to toil? They slaved and served Egyptian kings, yelled freedom! Mercy! From lashes with ease!

Do you not see their anger, frustration that's told! When talking of pyramids! Monuments! So many astonishingly seem to wonder and wishes to see! Yet they despise the Egyptians for troubles it caused! Merely wishing to remind us who called the waves and let rivers red flow

Yes, and yet the ancient pharaohs tombs are seen as wonders. Their splendour written about, told and remembered.

Yet where are modern pharaohs of today? Villains, were burned, shot and hunted not only across Europe but, the world.

Not even tombs, monuments or followers will rise for them again. Such is the punishment, worse then what the ancient pharaohs did. A crime that is recorded, passed on and well remembered.

For the masses bread, housing and life persists in their memory. But avail not, for texts, films and pictures remain. Stories, accounts to be found, read, heard and seen.

Foes come and go. Memory remains

Grunwald has an excellent point!
Aside perhaps from the Nuernberger Stadion along with a couple of official buildings in Berlin, Hitler left nothing behind except a shameful legacy of death and destruction.
Bratwurst Boy  9 | 12821

worse then what the ancient pharaohs did.

Na ja....they hadn't had the media of today, never forget....nor the weapons of mass destruction....nor the masses of people cramped in cities to kill at once...beside the archaeologists nobody knew of most of them for centuries at all.

I find it hard to compare the slavers like the Pharaos or the mass murderer and invaders like the Mongols of yesterday with today villains. Just imagine all their deeds being accompanied by press and pictures and movies, showing their suffering victims to the world....would anybody today truly dare to admire them and their achievements?
