Hello, I'm from the US and my great grandfather was born to Polish immigrants. His paternal last name was Wasiewski and his maternal last name was Waleryszak. His father was born in a small village called Koziebrody but I don't know where his mother was born. Are Wasiewski and Waleryszak common last names and what regions are they the most found?

Waleryszak

Wasiewski

WÄ…siewski

So actually they're not very common.

As for records from Koziebrody some are indexed here at geneteka but I can't see the names you mentioned.
So perhaps they were born and married in years that weren't indexed yet or perhaps there was some spelling mistakes.
Have a look yourself. Check the dates and first names you're looking for.

It said so on his Ellis Island certificate so maybe there was a mistake (I think the part of Poland he came from was under the rule of the Russians at the time.)
