Looking for Information on Saint Stanislaus Parish

I am trying to find out which city the Saint Stanislaus Parish was located in 1867. It should have been in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tarnow, however I cannot find it. My Great, Great Grandfather was baptized there.

Hi, that sounds interesting, however the Baptismal Certificate did not mention 'Kostka'. Would you know if 'Kostka' was added sometime after 1867?

That sure is a perfect match for the church name. I have tried to find a way to contact the parish, however, the Catholic Church roster link to the church is dead. Any ideas on how to contact them?

No, Saint Stanislaus (the Martyr) and Saint Stanislaus Kostka are two different saints. You should try to contact parish in Szczepanów as it's the only one in Tarnów diocese that is dedicated to Saint Stanislaus. According to Wikipedia Saint Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Tarnów was created in 1980.

I have my grandmother's baptismal certificate from St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr parish in Smergorzow. I found the church address, etc. online, but there are no pictures or other information. Does anyone know if there are pictures anywhere? She was baptized in 1893.

However, according to the information there the church was built between 1958-1966.
There might have been an older church there before but I haven't found any information about it online.

Thanks for the update and link. Obviously there had to be an older church. Surprising that they don't include that in the history. Wonder what happened to it.
