Hello,

I have read about a Gubernii caled Kule which apparently was situated in the Warsaw area. I can only find Kule with regards to Czestochowa. Hopefully some-one might be able to shed some light.

Thank you.

No, it says (from the scanned piece) :
...wieś Kule, Gubernia Warszawska..... -.... village Kule, in the Warsaw province...

Years ago, this village could become part of a town or city nearby.

Why don't you put all the question in one topic, it would be easier to answer looking at the scanned document.

Hopefully some-one might be able to shed some light.

I don't know if you notice but in the document there is church name and street name.It could link to some important details.

Church name: Kościół Św. Krzyża (Holy Cross Church)
Street name - Nowy Świat (New World Street)
Look:

Hello,

Thank you for your message. Yes - the Nowy Swiat is the street in Warsaw and Sw Krzyze is the parish in Warsaw where several members of my family were registered in terms of Birth, Death and Marriage. I had only been able to find a reference to Kule, Czestochowa on the Internet. I jumped to possible conclusions as my Father's Mother's family came from Czestochowa and a little further back - one Great Great Grandfather was from Jozefow - which seems to be on the outskirts of Warsaw. All in all, each set of my Father's Grandparents seem to travel back and forth between Warsaw and Czestochowa.

Thank you for your advice. I shall compose a posting to cover everything.

Kindest Regards,

Karen

Hello,

Thank you for the advice - so here is the enquiry in its entirity. I found my Great-Great Grandparents' marriage record. I am trying to locate where Kule is. It mentions that the district is somewhere in the Warsaw area.

The document is too large to attach - so here follows the link:

szukajwarchiwach.pl/72/161/0/-/29/str/1/27/#tab2

When reaching this destination - please pick image 264 and then the entry is on the left hand side - AKT 114.

To put this gentleman - my Great Great Grandfather into context - the surname is Gladysz herb Gryff (not Gryf as would be expected).

Kindest Regards,
Karen
