How common was Polish-Jewish intermarriage?

Poland was able to get an exception ruling concerning refugees

Splendid. It is generally a good idea for at least some parts of Europe to remain European.

As usual, a national of Europe's most prolific exporter of migrants isn't keen on the import side of things. Which parts of Europe are no longer European? The number of South Asians in Britain, for example, is still under 10% of the population. Not a very different figure from the number of Ukrainians in Poland. Is Poland now 'Eastern European' (not Central European)?

Poland may still not accept its fair share of refugees - many from the fallout of region-destabilising US wars it took part in - but don't think it won't have lots of other kinds of migration. It has an ageing population, a huge ZUS bills to pay, and your leaders know the realpolitik even if they posture for the xenophobes. Your neighbour may soon be an Indian or African. Rejoice, for your block hallways will be filled with excellent cooking odours, not just the sulphurous pong of boiled egg and reek of cabbage.

? Why don't you publish under your username,

Ok stary, time to come clean: I am Ironsides' sockpuppet account.

I/he/we met a very sexy Pakistani girl on Tinder a while back and that's made me/us entirely rethink my/our previous prejudices. She's actually almost convinced me/him/us to convert to Islam. What can I say, that hijabi p*ssy is just too good. I/we will soon be changing my/our main username to Abu_al_Polaki.

Which parts of Europe are no longer European

Well, one could think of London for example (36.7% white British) with certain boroughs already majority non-white (Newham, Brent, Harrow, Tower Hamlets, Ealing). Also, nobody can deny that cities like Leicester or Birmingham have been profoundly demographically transformed. What happens in the UK, however, I don't mind at all. Moreover, I view it as a kind of beautiful poetic justice and fully support further developments in this direction.

Outside Engurland there are areas in Brussels, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, The Hague or Marseille that could hardly be described as European either.
I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing. Former colonial powers have to meet the karma that they so recklessly accumulated.

Not a very different figure from the number of Ukrainians in Poland.

They are our karma. C'est la vie - we keep our karma, you keep yours.

Your neighbour may soon be an Indian or African.

Rather unlikely. I haven't seen a single Indian or an African in the entire neighbourhood of around 20k people, and I rarely meet any in other parts of the city. As I said, Poland is still relatively uniform culturally and ethnically, which is a very good thing. Internal cohesion of a country is not to be underestimated.

Poetic justice would be the descendants of the Jews you Poles pogrommed and expelled (60s) out of the country coming back, reclaiming their stolen property, and later ruling the place. We can but hope.

Well, one could think of London for example (36.7% white British) with certain boroughs already..

The Americans have several majority black cities and many with huge Latino populations. By your logic, is the USA now 'no longer white American', due to this 'demographic transformation'?

Former colonial powers have to meet the karma that they so recklessly accumulated.

Jealousy, jealousy, jealousy. I'm sorry that Poland didn't take part in the age of empires. We both know it isn't somehow morally better and would have done so eagerly given the opportunity. What's that they say about "don't hate the player..."? And you should probably be glad Britain and those other countries succeeded where Russia and Germany didn't, because otherwise it's extremely likely Poland (and many other countries) would still be part of their sprawling empires today.

the descendants of the Jews (...) coming back

Yes, please! They are our karma too, like Ukrainians, and they can bring their IDF and nukes with them as well. Brilliant idea!

reclaiming their stolen property

You mean the kitchen utensils, pillows and duvets? Might be a bit difficult after almost a century. As for real estate - if it wasn't destroyed during the war, it should all be given back to the rightful heirs (not to some retarded Jewish hutzpah boys organisations though). Property rights are sacred.

it isn't somehow morally better

But of course it is. If there is one thing that distinguishes Poland from other countries of the world it's our moral superiority. Not of every individual Pole - we had our share of scoundrels as well - but as a country we have always been exceedingly ethical, virtuous, and noble. There is no other country in the history of the world that comes even close to Poland's thorough decency. World History 101.

Ok, now repeat after me: "the state of Israel is not synonymous with the Jewish people worldwide".

There is no other country in the history of the world that comes even close..

Not sure if joking, lol. I think you must be. No 'moral' nation steals the possessions and homes of concentration camp survivors, then threatens/kills them if they return, later expelling the remaining ones actually strong/mad enough to stick around in your hostile charnel house of a country.

You mean the kitchen utensils, pillows and duvets?

Real estate, apartments, gold menoras and jewellery, silverware and cutlery, heirlooms, the whole shebang. Everything Poles stole. Making you repair and maintain the Jewish cemeteries you've disgustingly desecrated and callously let fall into ruin would be great as well. Perhaps it could be a community service activity for the legions of street-drinking menele, and single-digit-IQ football 'fans' that decorate Polish cities with spraypaint.

I think you need to have the Zionists repeat that.

UN-F*CKING-DOUBTEDLY! That's arguably one of the main reasons for increased legit (not just 'criticism of Israel') antisemitism in the modern age.

Jewish people worldwide

They can come back as well, as far as I'm concerned. A thoroughly clever lot, the Jews. After so many centuries in these lands, they left a lasting imprint on our history and culture. Bring 'em back!

expelling the remaining ones

This is actually a valid reproach. March 1968 and the aftermath was a disgrace and a stain on Poland's honour. No argument here.

But if this is all that you could find in the history of an over 1000-year-old country, then I say we compare rather favourably with the rest of the world.

No 'moral' nation steals the possessions and homes

Everything Poles stole.

*sighs*

The overwhelming majority of Jewish property during the war was seized by the German occupation authorities, not by the Polish state, which had ceased to exist in 1939. Some individual Poles certainly looted, stole, or illegally occupied Jewish property - just as some individuals in every occupied country did. After the war, most property was nationalized by the communist regime, which also seized the property of millions of non-Jewish Poles. Conflating all of that into "Poland stole everything" is, frankly, retarded.

Bring 'em back!

Very glad you agree, Pan!

But if this is all that you could find in the history of an over..

It's a big world and I'm not qualified to make a judgment like that. What, for example, did the Vietnamese ever do to anyone? I think the truth is that every nation/people has had dark moments. I don't actually think that Poland is so bad - it's the holier-than-thou stuff that annoys me.

And if the worst that can be said about the British is that they indulged in colonialism during a period when every other comparable European power did - and even pipsqueaks like Belgium - then I don't think we deserve to be villainised. And if your idea of karma has any merit, then surely much of it from colonialism must be forwarded on from France, Britain, Spain et al to Italy's door, as they essentially started the whole damn thing in Europe. But they are Teflon, like their son Capone.

Conflating all of that into "Poland stole everything" is, frankly, retarded.

You're right - certainly about the Germans. However Poland hasn't really made much of an effort to make restitution, and I do feel like it defaults to an 'it wasn't us, that was the communists' position that wouldn't fly if Germany said 'it wasn't us, that was the Nazis' (mein herr, you WERE the Nazis) and doesn't seem to be a work if Brits say 'that wasn't us, that was the British crown and the East India Company'.

It's simply a different slant on the concept of citizenship than is familiar to Americans, while not at all unfamiliar to most continental Europeans, for instance Germany.

hen I don't think we deserve to be villainised.

You keep bringing up 1968 and some people politely being asked to leave, but only 14 years prior Great Britain was keeping about a hundred thousand people in concentration camps and torturing and murdering with gusto those they saw as a threat to colonial rule in Kenya. . I'm sick of you projecting your uniquely English evil onto the noble and saintly Poles. 'Everyoooone was doing it, even Beligum" LOL,

Reparations, yes we might give back a few apartment buildings but you disgusting, dastardly lot will be sending hundreds of billions of dollars to half of Africa for your colonial crimes

Nowadays, this would be impossible. Back then, it was obvious that the enemies of the system had to be eliminated. 🤷‍♂️

Which only confirms that it was an action to get rid of political opponents, not Jews, because those Jews who were not political opponents could stay. Moreover, Poles who were political opponents were also eliminated, but in a more drastic way.

When last checked, Roman Polanski and Agnieszka Holland identify themselves as Polish filmmakers of Jewish extraction!
No dichotomy here apparently between being a Polish Jew, as for that matter being a Polish Catholic.
