Fresh seafood in Gdansk

Anybody know any fresh seafood markets in Gdansk? I can find lots of frozen fish but I almost never see anything fresh like shrimp, crabs, or cod. I suppose oysters are out of the question...

i asked my polish tutor about this. slawek loves fish , so as a treat i took him to a well know seafood restaurant in newcastle order a sreaood platter he almost was sick-just looking at the prawns, etc-ate the sauce!!!! martamy polish tutor said people in poland are not use to seafood. The Baltic sea too salty??

Edible shrimp or crab don`t live in the Baltic Sea.

As for cod, it is also difficult to find fresh one cause the species is dying out. Lucky fishermen prefer to supply restaurants/supermakets than individual customers at piers, let alone open air markets. Sorry.
