What's your favorite Polish beer?

Yes thats it Zywiec, My friend Dawid brings it from NY when he comes down, its pretty
strong, better than most beer I have ever had. I am not a big beer drinker, but I like this one.

that is quite a surprise to me, but since I will be in Szczecin in a couple of weeks I will try it again and I will report back. Prior to that I have always avoided that beer when living in Szczecin, even though it was the local one. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

My favourite used to be Hevelius, but I am not sure it can be purchased any more.

In Szczecin. It's great on tap and difficult to find outside of there.

The first Polish beer I had was the first time I went to Poland which was in 1976. Don't know what it was called as it was too long ago. The first Polish beer I remember the name of was Zywiec.

I've had a few different Polish beers since the, Lech, Tyskie, Żubr, Warka Strong.

My favourite that I can buy in the UK is Żubr.

I might have to look out for that. In pubs, if you're a beer drinker, it is always worth a peek in the behind-the-bar fridge just in case they have anything interesting amongst all the alcopops.

My local off-licence only has Tyskie.

The shop I get the Polish beer from sells half Indian food and half Polish food.

The shop has Indian & Polish staff.

It sells Zubr, Tyskie, Lech and Zywiec.

True if you're talking about Milwaukee Bud-water, but not the original Czech Budweiser - that's a beer-lover's beer and hardly anything Poland makes stands up to it.

Żywiec has been giving me monster headaches ever since Heineken took over - which is funny, because the Heinie brewed in the same place doesn't.

My favorite beers in Poland - Żubr, Leżajsk and Tyskie, in that order.

I think there is a Czech Budweiser sold in my local super market. If you say its that good I'll have to try it .

I think in the States it's sold as Budvar or something like that - the result of a trademark spat that ended with the American stuff being sold as just "Bud" in Europe. (Actually, I should say "marketed" and not "sold" - I don't think too many people here actually pay to drink it.)

ZYWIEC PORTER, wonderful black beer (8%). It is better than Guinness or any other Irish stout but none of the Polish shops in Dundee and Perth in Scotland have any of it.

My second choice is Warka Strong.
