Suggestions for banning users - give the reason

Merged: ATTENTION MODS: More specific ground rules?

Hitler was a cruel dictator but he only punished his own kind (fellow-Germans) for specific offences. Stalin's axe fell randomly keeping everyone in fear and not knowing what they were being punished for and why.

Is there anywhere on PF that specifically lists what is and isn't out of bounds?
With expletives and vulgarisms some PF-ers type sh1t, fcuk, fecking, I prefer the asterisk sh*t. Is replacing one letter with a random symbol and switching letters round OK? Is calling PO POO acceptable and PiSed-up is not?

Is there somewhere on PF where someone who has been admonished with one or more offences can find out exactly what those offences were? Thanks in advance for repyling.

Let me answer your question with a question. With people reading the Polish political threads from all corners of the world, why can't you call the parties and politicians by their correct names, what's so hard about that?

I thought that was the rule until I saw one notorious poster repeatedly referring to the ruling Law and Justice party as "PiSed-up". Since that became the standard form used by that poster, it seemed obvious the rule was no longer in force or a blind eye was being turned.

Since i've got you on the line, Vincent, what about the disguised expletives (sh1t, etc.) as well as being informed of the precise infraction that has been committed.

You are correct, but this poster will now have to stop this nonsense.

what about the disguised expletives (sh1t, etc.) as well as being informed of the precise infraction that has been committed.

We rely on our filter to block most of this out, but some posters find ways around this. My advice would be not to lower your standards to theirs. While we are on this subject, it has been noted that a couple of posters have altered members usernames to create derogatory ones. This doesn't need to happen and all members should be free to post their opinion, without personal abuse.

Seriously, EU politicians have it so easy to manipulate the sheeple in Poland and other countries of EU. Notice that soon there will only be two 'major' parties in EACH country of EU. Two parties = one big corruption. Good cop / bad cop. Divide / conquer. Then a sheeple like p3 argues with another sheeple instead of teaming up and trying to figure out how to break up and get out of the corrupted system. A thousand of peasants fighting on their landlord's field about who has a better hairstyle instead of stopping and thinking if it's their destination to actually be peasants.

When you ban someone, can you try being a little more specific? Can you be anymore vague?

Ogien ask this question six years ago and Minnie still doesn't have the balls to answer it.
It seems only fair that if someone receives a warning that a short explanation should go with it.

I call it "admin is on the booze again".

I think if there is going to be a rule change then post it for us all to see so we are made aware of it instead of giving a warning for something that was ok. last week but not this week.

The rules change daily here without any advanced warning.
It would be great to hear WHY I was just suspended for three days but why even ask anymore knowing the answer will be very vague like the OP stated.

Just laugh about it and wait for the nest "Access Denied" and then agree not to be naughty again and again and again and again.

They make the rules up as they go and its stacked against us!

They did the same thing to me, what a joke!

Thats why their membership has gone down the drain. Remember when they had the little guest/member counter in the bottom right hand corner?
They must have taken it away from embarrassing low numbers. Its no wonder why everyone has quit!

Its no wonder why everyone has quit!

WHY haven't you 'quit' yet - what is stopping you?

They must have taken it away from embarrassing low numbers.

Obviously you have absolutely no idea about the reasons and adding clueless comments in explanation points cannot hide it. Tip - we didn't want to give inflated numbers and play with enabling / disabling robots which fake normal guest users, so we decided to only show real logged user count instead.

The rules change daily here without any advanced warning.

The rules don't change. Some of the constant abusers (like you) will just have less air to breath. If a 3-day ban will not be enough, it will go to a 1 month or permanent one.

Plus - whenever one of the users who has 3+ warnings abuses or trolls another user in the Random chat, they BOTH will be banned (one for abusing, another for posting in the random chat and replying to him/her). Don't want to be banned? - then don't post in the Random chat if you have 3+ warnings.

The rules don't change.

The hell you say.
How about this one........

Please - avoid discussions about Jews, Muslims, Obamas, religions, such topics may be closed or deleted anyway. Posters who ignore the off-topic warnings and continue polluting PF with such posts may be given a time-off.

That rule changed because we now have several threads doing just that.

Plus - whenever one of the users who has 3+ warnings abuses or trolls another user in the Random chat, they BOTH will be banned (one for abusing, another for posting in the random chat and replying to him/her).

That is the FIRST time any of us ever heard that one !
Get it together and at least be consistent.
How about giving us the name of the person that suspends or gives a warning so we can take it to a PM and also find out who is making up the rules as we go.

ATTENTION MODS: More specific ground rules please.........IN ADVANCE !

SERIOUSLY, having 7 warnings you should not be here any more and you should definitely not use the word 'we' in your answers. Your next warning will likely be a 1-month ban so there's no use giving you any more clues at this point. The good news is that warning count automatically decreases after a certain period of time without a warning, so you may better wait till you are eligible to giving opinions in the name of others. No 'more specific rules' are available because the abusers would try to find ways to avoid them and we don't have time for such games.

Yeah right, speaking of a constant abuser....
Why is there several threads in Feedback (that have conveniently been closed by YOU) with member after member complaining about the same exact thing over the years ????

That should justify the "WE".

A couple of threads were closed to avoid banning of the regular abusers who started abusing each other there. From our experience, the constant abusers demand 'strict rules'; but when they were updated, they would find ways of avoiding them (when they did, they would start abusing moderators for not 'enforcing' the rules). That's why, when someone has a few warnings already, the only rule they should keep in mind is not to get another warning (which may equal suspension).

so we decided to only show real logged user count instead.

Where is it located at? Its not on the homepage. (sorry, it was available for a short time before it was finally removed - a who-is script was the most heavy so since it could not show all the users it was better to get rid of it completely)

Ok, I remember some years back when posters paid or donated to PF they had the ability to see which other posters were online. It was kind of interesting, but see how it could be a pain as well.

WHY haven't you 'quit' yet - what is stopping you?

You guys would miss my charming personality! LoL. Maybe we, hopefully others too ;)
