Suggestions for banning users - give the reason

When you ban someone, can you try being a little more specific? I was banned not long ago and all it said at the screen was "Access Denied." Can you be anymore vague? At least have the mod PM the user with the reason for the ban because I still don't know why I was banned.

Um...I think they deleted whatever I said because I did go through my posts at the time I was banned and I didn't see anything that would merit a ban. You're right though, it's not rocket science.

I think they were right to ban you and I think you are playing stupid by highlighting why you were banned as a personal attack on a member here.

I personally attack people on here a lot. I'm just not sure which "attack" was severe enough to merit a ban.

Compared to you, I'm rarely on this site. It's not my fault I come across some special ed dork who deserves to be flamed commonly on this site.

Anyway, I'm just trying to help this forum out a bit. It can't be too hard to alter that ban screen a little bit and add some more details. :-)

I guess teasing would be more appropriate to say rather than personally attacking.

No no - the only time you get banned is for mentioning the word "llama" or for going off topic.

There appears to be no other rules in this respect.

Can someone explain the speciifc reason for my latest suspension? Others go off topic, call people names, insult people's relgious beliefs do all sorts of thinsgs without being suspended.

Are mods allowed to use their own partisan biases when deciding to suspend soemone? Can they do so without a warning? They may have their own viewsd of course, but when acting as mods aren't they supposed to be impartial and neutral?

You were warned- suspended the next day. Then when your suspension was over you still didn't listen and other mod suspended you. It's not about mod's views but your behaviour.

Specifics please. What word, phrase or formulation was so offensive? Do you really believe you treat all posters equally inclduing those you disagree with?

As far as I can see, the mutilating of my forum name along with Harry's was an instant suspension. Makes sense, given that the mods had made it very clear a few days before that such behaviour was to be stopped immediately. The fact that you had been suspended the day before was another nail in your coffin.

If I were you, I'd keep my mouth shut - it's not common that posters banned for a second time very quickly are allowed back after a mere 24 hours.
