There are online newspapers that have 10M visitors a month and a comment section below each article with 50-100 comments, so it's about right.
Hmm... but newspapers are by definition made for reading mostly. Discussion boards not so much - they are all about paritcipation. There's no definition here. I often start reading user comments (sometimes only them) before the actual article. I mentioned I meant online newspapers that have a section with user comments, not all of them have.
Also, keep in mind that PF typically allows guest user posts which doesn't require an account. No other online community I know of allows that.
you underestimate my contribution
Never! I also noticed that you English grammar improved a lot. What have you been reading recently? I want titles, authors, publishing houses - everything. :)

Before I was typing with my left foot. I wasn't previewing it before posting. I didn't care enough. What changed? I want my posts to be clear and easily understood, so I pay attention and check the text before pressing the button to post a message. ---

Lately, I read again slowly -Calculating The Value Of The Union, slavery, property rights, and the economic origins of the Civil War. by James L. Huston 2003 The University of North Carolina Press.
A better question is how many active users does PF have. What percentage of registered users have made say ten posts in each of the last three months? And also, what percentage of posts are made by the 20 most active posters? An active user may be defined as someone who actively visits the site and reads the contents. If someone goes to a park and sits on a bench as opposed to walking or socializing with other people, should that person be counted as a park goer or not. I guess it's up to one's definition.
OK, I know that you will eventually make the right decision to switch to XenForo (or vBulletin) but you need time. We, Poles, are a stubborn bunch and we are not so easily persuaded. BB - do you see any issues with PF now? I see no reason to switch unless we have 1K extra just to "try," but currently we have -1K..
Therefore, already thinking about the great software update and the throngs of new members that it will attract, I am going back to my old username. People these days are not history buffs, the world has already forgotten about Good Kaiser Franz and Austro-Hungary, so when they see "Gefreiter" they will think that I am some sort of a nazi. Can't have that.
Thanks admin. any chance of increasing the upload limit of files to 300kb for images when inline viewing does not work etc. Please try the new formats first, including .avif. 150Kb for them should be more than enough as they are very efficient, unlike for the old formats.
Still....when a post gets longer the lower part becomes quickly hard to edit.....but maybe its just me and it is a hint that I need to cut myself short(er)....who knows...
