Maya 1 | 51 9 Mar 2014 #31Hey There, sorry to pester but are you still having those Language Exchange group meetings? :)
OP Ziutek 9 | 160 10 Mar 2014 #32We stopped having meetings but if there is interest there is always the possibility of starting again. Coincidentally, I spoke yesterday to someone who may also be interested.Feel free to PM me if you would like to discuss it further.
Snowflake - | 71 10 Mar 2014 #34Hi. Can I join?I'm from Gdynia, native polish-speaker interesting in language exchange :)It's great idea and posibility to meet sbd from time to time...
OP Ziutek 9 | 160 12 Mar 2014 #36It's gratifying that this seems to be attracting renewed interest, but in contrast to last time, there seems to be a surfeit of Polish speakers and a dearth of English speakers. In fact the only English speaker is me! Are there any other English speakers out there in 3City who would like to improve their Polish? We currently have two or three Polish people, me, and maybe one Finnish guy who speaks English fluently.
scottie1113 7 | 898 14 Mar 2014 #40I'm still interested. I teach English at a private language school in Gdansk and my only free hours are in the morning on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Old Town locations are best for me as I live and work there.
Maya 1 | 51 14 Mar 2014 #41Keeping my fingers crossed and hope we manage to get something sorted :)Hi Guys,Not sure whether or not anyone would be interested but heard there is a Language Exchange Group meeting this Thursday at Instytut Spraw Wszelakich in Sopot.Anyone fancy popping over?
Dougpol1 31 | 2,640 16 Mar 2014 #44I would gladly come if you were still there at midnight :( Do you drive the Go carts after a few sherberts? :)PS do they admit canines?

cjj - | 281 17 Mar 2014 #47Are there any other English speakers out there in 3City who would like to improve their PolishThere are ... but somehow the f/t job scuppers my chances of heading down for the bright lights of the city in the evening.-cjj
Dougpol1 31 | 2,640 18 Mar 2014 #48Midnight, Go carts, sherberts, canines???Go- cart centre, beer, dog.......... as if you didn't follow the lingo :)The other factor is 12 at night, when I am free :)
Snowflake - | 71 18 Mar 2014 #49Sure, but first I thought that you're a ghoul :pNotice that thursday is middle of week, so midnight seems to be a little bit late.such a pity you're working so late...

MowPoPolsku1 - | 1 18 Mar 2014 #56Hi there, had to register again with a new nickname.Everything I clicked was "Access denied".I'd say what I think about this forum here but I'd probably get "Access denied" again so I'll keep my mouth shut. Please, just email me. It's much easier.I don't want to use this funny forum registering-logging-in business again.teacher.perth@gmail
Snowflake - | 71 19 Mar 2014 #57Look Maya, there's a link to this meeting:kultura.trojmiasto.pl/Language-Exchange-Meeting-imp389468.html
Maya 1 | 51 19 Mar 2014 #58Thanks Snowflake - I have actually seen it the other day.Still up for it despite knowing nobody there - defo should be interesting :)See you tomorrow then! *** Whoop whoop ***
OP Ziutek 9 | 160 19 Mar 2014 #59Maya, Snowflake - I went to this meeting for the first time last week. What happens is that someone gives a talk, apparently in a different language each week, on some travel related theme. After the talk most people seemed to be speaking English so it's probably perfect for what you want. I'll probably go again tomorrow so I might see you there!
Maya 1 | 51 19 Mar 2014 #60Hi Ziutek,Many thanks for the info, it's really good to know - looks as if I am gonna be one of the quiet ones there :)Hope to see you there tomorrow then!
