OBAKA 25 Oct 2012 #1Cześć guys :)My second language is English which is safe to say it's my everyday language because I use it way more often than my native language lol. It's been a month since I moved to Poland but I haven't met anyone who speaks English very well.I know this is Poland, English is not the official language but I want to keep up with my aptitude in English. I even would like to bone up on it because learning different languages is endless. Nobody is able to master a language unless you're a robot or android or something.Anyways, is there any English-spoken community or gathering in Kraków? or are there people who feels what I feel? Thanks for dropping by :)
hearts_alice - | 2 26 Oct 2012 #2I feel you.But I don't speak Polish, at least not yet. So you're still quite better off!And I'm in Warsaw, but I totally get how you feel none-the-less.Good luck!

MisterRocky - | 7 28 Jan 2014 #4I host the English Language Club every Wednesday, 6 to 8 pm, at Budda Bar at Rynek Glowny 6 in Krakow. For several years I hosted these meetings at a different location that you may have heard about, but since October, 2013 we have had to move to Budda Bar. This is not a language exchange or Tandem. It is only for speaking English. Usually there are about 30 people. Anybody can join the meeting to meet English-speakers and speak English. You don't have to be a native speaker, just participate and speak English.Merged: English-speakers' meeting in Krakow every Wednesday, 6 to 8 pm.I host the English Language Club every Wednesday, 6 to 8 pm, at Budda Bar at Rynek Glowny 6 in Krakow. Moonlighting 31 | 234 8 May 2014 #7@MisterRockyYou posted this in January. This is now May. Do meetings currently take place at the same place and time ?Then I'll give it a try. I often attended the French meetings since I live in Krakow (2010) because It's my mother tongue, but they're not organized anymore.
MisterRocky - | 7 8 May 2014 #8Yes, every Wednesday, 6 to 8 pm at Budda Bar on the rynek between ul. Sienna and Pod Jaszczurami.
normalnyfacet - | 31 8 May 2014 #9[facebook.com/groups/lec.krakow/] - Language Exchange Club Krakow Group on FacebookVarious meetings throughout the week, including French every Thursday at Les Couleurs 7.30pm
Moonlighting 31 | 234 8 May 2014 #10Actually I made a mistake when typing. I do attend those French meetings occasionally. It's the Polish meetings which no longer exist (I'm speaking of the meetings which used to take place at Satori each Sunday at 6pm).
MisterRocky - | 7 6 Oct 2014 #12Yes, still active. I continue to host these meetings as I have for seven years. We continue to meet every Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at Budda on the rynek near ul. Sienna. Look for the sign saying "English Meeting".
kdee - | 2 18 Jan 2015 #13Hate to be a broken record, but just wanted to check and see if this meeting is still active?
Moonlighting 31 | 234 30 May 2018 #15Hi, do these meetings still take place ? I attended once in 2014 then wasn't really available anymore due to family life, but would like to attend again.
