What the hell is the obsession with windbreakers? Poles love them, its a booming industry here, the even use them when there's no wind.

Poles, being natural born individualistic loners, prefer privacy, seclusion and isolation. They achieve this goal by means of windbreaker. Simple.

when there's no wind.

It's like those big open offices of yesteryear, where everybody was out in the open. Then someone figured that even partial partitions provided a sense of privacy and seclusion and improved overall office productivity. Same out on the beach. Poles by nature are not exhibitonists and feel more ocmfortable behind a "parawan".

Experience says that wind may start blowing any moment. You must be prepared.

Now that is absolute nonsense Pawian. Poles desire a crowd.

I have been with company, both in the cinema and the woods. Both times, people thought it perfectly normal to ruin our private scene. You can set up your stuff on the beach, and somebody will come and sit right next to you. On an empty beach. I kid you not.

It's a sicko Polish thing, and they are offended when I tell them to **** off out of it.

Poles by nature are not exhibitonists

Nonsense again!

Both of you are Polish and don't know your own nation :)

After 40 years of grey communism, Poles are shocking and wanton exhibitionists. There are good sides to this, of course:)

18 degrees and sunny today. A light breeze - a summers' day:) Have a ganders at the beach cams. No windbreaks in Sopot though as far as I know, because everyone's nose is to the grindstone :(

You seem to watch too many movies, I am afraid. :):) E.g., The Day of Screwball, with a scene on the beach:

Come on , it is only a film. :)
