Possible consequences of the Eurocup 2012 in Poland.

Hello!

I'm doing a work which consists in searching, explaining, investigating and wondering about one subject. You've to do a question which is gonna be the start point of this work. I've chosen the question: Which consequences will have the Eurocup 2012 in Poland? (and Ukraine too, but I think I simply gonna focus my attention on Poland because I know this country more than Ukraine where I've never been).

So, as I said, I have to explain and wonder such a subject which could be difficult, but I'm not scared, I simply hesitate of which way I gonna use to carry out my work. It is important to know that this kind of work doesn't consist in searching information and relating it. That's about doing a process which ends with some conclusions, you've to think up a little what could happen, in my case, which consequences is gonna have the Eurocup for Poland, I mean, economic consequences, as you know Poland in many senses is still being such a old country, so I wonder whether is going to have problem to have the Eurocup. For example, Poland has złotych instead of €uro, so maybe this is a problem to receive Eurocup.

The subject about foundations it's interesting as well 'cause they'll have to build a lot of roads, stadiums... I'd also want to talk about the tourism it will cause, For who it's going to be a good deal and for who not? I mean, for people who work in catering or in restaurants I'm sure it'll be a good deal and so the economy will increase in that sense. But taking the last competitions (Eurocup, Worldcup) as an example I can say that after them nobody knows what to do with the stadiums. Politics interests are, as always, mixed in this, so I'd like to write about that, as well.

So I'd want you to tell me what do you think about this things, what you think it will happen, good or bad, which consequences you think it will cause and recommendations you'd make to me.

Thank you a lot, guys!

Hopefully, Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine will be a good opportunity to remind
(mostly to younger football fans in Poland and Europe) that Lwów is the cradle
of Polish football and Czarni Lwów, Lechia Lwów and, of course, Pogoń Lwów
will always be remembered by Polish fans.

Lwów

I rather hope for a revival of polish football.... :)
The whole atmosphere....being part of a big tournament again with hopefully some surprises and the whole renovated football infrastructure should help big time.

What do you mean "revival"???

Poland is only slightly worse than Uganda......things are not that bad to talk about "revival". I think "improvement" is the word you wanted.

Umm...noooo....I think "revival" as in "breathing life into a something near dead" fits it well!
You know, you Poles should not be so selfish! Did you ever think about the Mannschaft? When Klose and Poldi retire who will score for us if not some fresh supply by our eastern neighbour friends?

It's not very manly to ask other men to score for you, you know. That's one of the reasons
why Deutschland schafft sich ab (if you forgive the pun.) :)

after them nobody knows what to do with the stadiums.

what do you mean? all the stadiums are club stadiums except the one in Warsaw which is the national stadium.

i agree.. there needs to be way to much improvement to just simply be improvement. rebirth could be another word to describe the current dismal situation of PL futbol.

Are the Polish Police prepared to prevent violence by a huge Police presence and stopping know trouble makers getting anywhere near the stadiums/fans?

If they let violence break out, in my opinion it will harm the tourist industry and give Poland a bad name.

Obvious ones are: tourists interest, money incoming cash-flow (opportunity for hotels, restaurants, pubs, shops, touristic places, taxis etc.), more info about the country in Europe (and potentially - more tourists in future), chance for Polish football to grow...

The same - about Ukraine!
& Ukraine needs it even more than Poland (Europeans know less about us).

The subject about foundations it's interesting as well 'cause they'll have to build a lot of roads, stadiums...

the 2012 footie cup was the perfect excuse to have the roads finished in Poland by a concrete deadline

they still hope to link Poznan to the German border by next year and some of the train stations are getting spruced up but apart from that

there have not been too many improvements

they did a great job with the stadiums though. however as for the promises of getting the roads sorted they were just promises.

I do not believe that there is going to be a big problem with hooligans. I met some Man City supporters who had been to Poznan and they

said there was no trouble for their game. I remember when the footie cup was in Germany and the Polish hooligans were going to go to Germany

and cause mayhem .... and nothing happened
