The OP, originally came to the forum a year ago saying he was still a minor and when he turns 18 he'd like to come here to meet Polish girls aged 17-23. He made a big issue about being Lewis Hamilton skin-toned and talking about racism... He even was silly enough to ask if Polish girls speak English and if they teach English in schools. The only person making a big issue about race is the OP. If he never mentioned that fact it would never have been raised. Most people couldn't care less what colour you are. There are other black and Asian foreigners here, especially in the bigger cities. The OP's mistake was trying to use his ethnicity to draw attention to himself.
So, why come to Poland? Why not try talking to some English people?

If the guy came to Poland as was victimised for being black I'm positive he would have had a lot of support from the PF members.
However, he's young and naive and his only concern was talking to very young Polish women. That's very shallow. His motives were very clear.
What's wrong with black or Asian girls? There's millions of them in London. Sure, they're not as attractive, but probably easier... He'd only need to learn English to speak to them too...
He'd probably find plenty of them in the:

Back on topic, I would say that learning foreign languages (especially Polish) was the smartest move I ever made. Speaking Polish to a Pole can never be considered 'showing-off'. I've had to use it to communicate more effectively with people from Czech, Slovakia, Lithuania and Ukraine in the past. It is often used as a 'lingua-franca' in the UK for many central European migrant workers...

I read somewhere that the average wage for the mining industry was around 100k Aus dollars. This salary far exceeds even IT specialists and uni professors.
However, Sydney is the most expensive city in the world to live in... hence the the salary has to be high. Still, there's a lot of money to be made in Oz, I should know...
Good luck to any Pole who wants to work there. It should suit them; healthy lifestyle, good diet and a strong emphasis on sports and recreation.

Australia / Poles invaded the wrong Anglo-Saxon country [29]
I didn't realise it was quite that bad. I remember being in NZ maybe 10 years ago now. All the locals were getting pretty fed up with all the Asian immigrants. Auckland is now about 25% Asian and it's only going to get worse...

This seems pretty close to my experience both in Poland and England.
I think most people just want to practice their English with a native speaker tbh. In a small town they don't often get the opportunity. But, yh, you're right about the showing-off part. I've met them too...
Also, there are some people in Poland (and other countries), who no matter how well you speak Polish, will continue to try and talk back in broken English.
