Love / What differences is there among Polish girls and British girls as girlfriends? [102]

British men are more likely to go out with Black or Asian girls than Polish ones

Wrong! Who made you an expert on British men? As a British man myself, I can honestly say I've dated (and even lived with) Polish women. But never a black or Asian women. And before anyone accuses me of being racist - The reason why, is that my town hosts a large Polish community. Very few ethnic minorites live here, despite being located relatively close to Birmingham. If I moved to Japan I'd date their women too:)

there are plenty of Black, Asian and Polish men who date British women so it redresses this!

I don't understand why you keep talking about ethnic minorities....

I thought that you might retract some of your negative remarks about Polish women, but no. Another paragraph of b*tchy comments later just proves you obviously have a problem to Polish women.

Who hurt you (emotionally)...

I did have a long relationship with a Polish man which didn't work out

- What a suprise!
So because one Polish guy dumped you, you have decided to take it out by slagging off all Polish women. How pathetic!

UK, Ireland / The REAL reason why so many Polish come to the UK! [19]

It's so obvious to me now.... It's the English girls! Surely the most beautiful and loving in all of Europe...
No wonder the UK has such high immigration! Why doesn't the (treacherous) British Government do something about this!

UK, Ireland / Polish Family stabbed to death in St Helier. [40]

Broadmoor

- its not that bad... just ask Charlie Bronson:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Bronson_(prisoner)

At Broadmoor, Bronson attempted to strangle Gordon Robinson to death but was prevented from doing so when the silk tie he was using to garotte him snapped.[37] Following this failure Bronson again became depressed, but found his spirits lifted when Ronnie Kray arranged a visit from boxer Terry Downes.[38] In 1982, he performed his first rooftop protest after escaping to the top of Broadmoor and tearing off roof tiles.[39] Not long after the first incident, he again reached the roof of Broadmoor. He caused £250,000 worth of damage in a three day protest before he was talked down by his family.[40] Following further treatment he took up art, and eventually collected more prison awards than any other inmate for his poems, prose and cartoons.[41] He made a third rooftop protest, this time demanding a prison transfer, but was again talked down.[42] He then started an 18 day long hunger strike, and was eventually granted a transfer to Ashworth Hospital (then known as Park Lane Hospital) in June 1984.[43]

"I'd been certified mad because of my violence. I was still violent - and they were now certifying me sane. Where's the sanity in that? Isn't the system just as crazy?"

It is a mad, mad world in which we live in...

History / The story about German- Polish reconciliation [194]

The conventional view of English origins is that the English are primarily descended from the Anglo-Saxons, Germanic tribes that migrated to Great Britain following the end of the Roman occupation of Britain, with assimilation of later migrants such as the Vikings and Normans.

Very useful information. However, modern English is very different from the 5th century English that you illustrate. It has evolved so much! Sorry, to point out the obvious but that is how you present your case.

Do not underestimate the impact of the other major influences on the English language such as Danish, French, Italian and Greek.

eupedia.com/europe/european_y-dna_haplogroups.shtml

DNA relates to the ethnicity of a race, not the language. But I support you in what you are saying:

you should know the origins of your language

USA, Canada / Animosity against second and third generation poles ? [26]

I see a lot of animosity against second and third generation poles wanting to come back to the homeland. What is the problerm?

There isn't a problem. I'm fourth generation and I've always been made more than welcome in Poland. Helps if you can speak the language and say your pan/pana's...

News / Nude females in Legnica centrum [5]

I haven't clicked on the link for obvious reasons lol...
But from the link it says Panie. I'm no expert, but I believe this refers to a man (in accusative or vocative - idk) Panowie = men, and pani = woman, Panii = women. Panstwo = couple.

Just my input - please don't troll my about my bad Polish. I know I suck.

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

Negroes ruling indigenous Europeans in their own native land.

Judge them on their record, not on their ethnicity.

I live in a nice semi four bedroom with a nice hot tub out the back and a '10 alpha romeo out the front.

Then you are in an excellent position to make some charitable contributions to those that are not so fortunate...

Every piece of technology you are currently using was invented by Europeans.
The democracy we currently enjoy, Europeans.
Medical advancement and people living after their 30th birthday, Europeans

You might want to check these facts. Either google them or visit your local library.
Can you tell me, for instance, which European countries invented medicine, gunpowder, algebra or even the wheel?

UK, Ireland / over paid tax benefits in england uk? [9]

Do you have a copy of that letter and are you still living in England?
If yes, then it's worth taking the letter to your local Citizens Advice Bureau for some free legal advice. It may be the case that they will not discuss it with you as it pertains to your sister. Definately worth a try though.

Feedback / Why are there so many on here, who do not like Poland [150]

Personally i have been there quite a few times and find the People very hospitable and a very beautifull country. I love it there.

Very well said. I totally agree. If you're not Polish, and you're just here to insult people and make ignorant racist comments, please get lost!

Sadly, until the moderators start handing out suspensions and barring people, those people are free to keep on doing so.

You wont find to many Pole bashers outside of the UK's shores, answer

There are racists in every country. It's just a tiny minority of British

Pole bashers

that have to come on PF because;

Some people like to moan and wind people up

People with no life.
And
Frustrated with their own miserable lives

As for:

effecting the lives of working class people

Who were on the dole scrounging benefits long before the Polish came along... Immigrants are an easy target for the scumbag tabloid press. Next year they will target Romanians and Bulgarians.

Germany opened their borders to Polish immigration

You are obviously not aware that Germany has as many migrant Polish workers as the UK, if not more - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poles_in_Germany

Life / Poland needs more immigrants and their children - which nationalities are the best? [518]

How is it good for humanity to move blacks from Africa to Europe

Blacks are humans too. A humanitarian wouldn't ask such a question.

destroy the white race

A little bit of fun reading for you:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recent_African_origin_of_modern_humans
sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/05/070509161829.htm

The thread question was: which nationalities are the best?
The answer is there is no best nationality. Poland needs immigrants who can integrate and make a positive contribution to the country. It's down to individuals, nationality is irrelevant. I realise the OP asked for suggestions on nationality, but maybe PF isn't the best place to get an intelligent answer.

Pawian you should have simply posted your second question:

What should Poland do to successfully compete in the immigration market and attract more than other countries?

Now that is a very good question.

Language / "Taka prawda" - What does this Polish phrase mean? [19]

,

"Tak noh pravda" which I would guess means Yes, quite true".

- It means: "Yes, this is/that's true"
Or you could even say: "No tak. To prawda"

One of the phrases that I was wondering about, phonetically "Ogshta veeshta" means "Of course." (Oczywiście)

*Phonetically*, in English (not the International Phonetic Alphabet) these words should sound a bit more like: otche-vish-chair - oczywiście / Otche-vista - oczywista

Why Poland "needs" something that would most certainly destroy her?

How would:

immigrants who can integrate and make a positive contribution to the country.

destroy Poland?

If you want to talk about gentics and paleoanthropology, I would suggest suggest making a new thread. We can discuss it there.

All we need is to increase the birthrate again

- Need any volunteers? Seriously, too many have left the country. Their children and their childrens children will not be repopulating Poland. Poland may have a serious problem in the future with an aging population. You should address the original 2 questions that Pawian posted.

Work / Finding work in Warsaw / Poland as an English private tutor [63]

Ok, so just a quick post from me to thank everybody with all their help and advice. I haven't disappeared, I've just been busy. Had I not made an account on PF I probably would be struggling right about now. So THANK YOU to all the people who have helped me. And a big sorry to everyone who I was going to meet up with in Krakow. Unfortunately, I'm not living there and have been very busy in this first month. I am very happy that I came to Poland though. I am now working for two schools and have plenty of private students. I'm quickly running out of free hours in the day. I might have to stop taking on new students soon. I was very nervous about giving my first lessons. Especially, as I knew how competent a lot of Polish teachers are. But then I saw how the 'cowboy' schools teach 'English'... OMFG! Some very 'experienced and qualified' teachers cannot even pronounce the most basic of words in the English language.

I have a huge favor to ask you. Could you post in this forum when you return to England? I'm making a list of how long "native speakers" stay in Poland.

Pantsless, I have a huge favour to ask you! Next Summer after I have successfully completed my first year of teaching in Poland I will upload a picture of my backside 'pantsless'. Would you kindly kiss it for me?

Thanks again guys, take care :)

OK, speak to you in a year. However, I'm here to teach, not to prove a point. But maybe next time you could help those people looking to do something new instead of just bashing people. I wouldn't have survived without the help and advice of one member of PF. I love it here and I'm not planning on going anywhere for a long time. I'm not going to disclose my location either. Despite the quotation, this post isn't aimed solely at you mate. Na razie.

Work / Teaching English in Wrocław - TEFL, fair pay? [40]

InWroclaw, before you start flaming me for my silly spelling mistakes on a silly internet forum you should consider one thing:

I'm burning through my savings money at an alarming rate now, and haven't earned a penny here ever.

I've only been here for one month. I've already got a job with two schools and nearly a dozen private students. I still need a couple more hours teaching a week, but I am prepared to get off my 4ss and find the work.

I have had a lot of help from a few very decent people so maybe I'm lucky. But, when I give a lesson I have to prove myself every time. I had to give a 'free' demonstration lesson to a school director, she loved it and gave me a job there and then! Every single student I have given private lessons to through a school has immediately signed up for weekly lessons with me on an on-going basis. I will bring my schools a lot of business because they want to be taught by either me or another Englishman. Unfortunately, most get fobbed off with a second-rate yank who, although may speak American, can't teach or even pronounce English.

I would just say InWroclaw that I was going to offer to help you. I had previously read some of your posts and I really feel sorry for you. I'll help anyone who wants help, but obviously you neither need nor want it.

Well mate, I wish you all the best. Hope you find work soon. Take care...

But my advice to anyone else wanting to teach in Poland would be either to take a CELTA first or when you get here. I'm doing things the hard way. Ale tez jest zajebiscie! (I'm loving it!)

Work / Finding work in Warsaw / Poland as an English private tutor [63]

His is right for him as he has what he wants - the income.

I'm afraid you are mistaken. If money was important to me I would have stayed in the UK. I have come to Poland to make a better life for myself and to get some teaching experience. Job satisfaction is important and the satisfaction I get from giving private lessons is immense. I don't charge as much as I could charge, but I certainly don't work for peanuts. I charge a fair rate and I feel honoured to teach my students.

There is no competition for me because I live in a small town. Had I took a chance and gone to Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan or Wroclaw I would probably be on a plane home right now.

how about you buy a copy of your city's local newspaper and stick it in there so I could at least verify the date?

I will never post my location on this site and neither will I give my real name. TBH, I am living in paradise here:) I really don't want dozens of ex-pats coming here ruining that for me. I don't have to prove anything to anyone. I am very happy right now and I am not going to blow this opportunity.
