Chance of Lwów once again became coming part of Poland

No they won't. People in Lwow are fiercely proud of their country - and they would much rather live in poverty than be part of another country. Given that Ukrainians have waited hundreds of years for their own nation, why would they give it up?

Returning Lwow to to the rightful owners Poland is the right thing to do and eventually it will happen. What do you they mean they would rather live in poverty than be a part of another country that's exactly what they are doing at the moment.

I assume then, that you'll be giving back Australia to the aboriginals then?

Ah wait...one rule for one, one rule for others, right?

I assume that you'll also return Gdansk, Szczecin and Wroclaw to the Germans.

Australia doesn't belong to Aboriginals it belongs to all Australians and anyway the british are the ones that "stole it" ;)

No i am only interested in Lviv being returned to Poland as they shuold have done at the Yalta conference.

Lwów jest polski;)

Australia doesn't belong to Aboriginals it belongs to all Australians.

Who originally owned it, criminal? Who originally settled it before your ancestors came on the prison ship? The Aboriginals.

Therefore, give it back, and then we can talk about returning Lwow to Poland.

Nice to see you calling it Lviv - nice Ukranian name, isn't it?

My grandparents came from a concentration camp in Poland so I dont think it has anything to do with them but if that make them criminals I guess they are then.

Warschau is also a nice german name for warsaw :)

Well, if your ancestors are Polish, surely they should understand all about land being seized from the rightful owners. Therefore, you agree that Australia should be returned to the Aboriginals and then Poland can have Lwow back, alongside giving up the Recovered Territories?

Seems fair to me.

Aboriginals can have it back as along as the Europeans can take every they built.Gdansk have been polish for over 600 years and only German for 128 but it seems like a good deal as long as Poland gets there border from 1921 :)

1921 :)

Ey! I don't want conflicts with the Czechs again...
The chance of "we know what-and where" will come back to Poland is very likely. If there will be a Polish-Russian deal (I highly doubt it ofc) or a joined Union of Poland-Ukraine and several other countries (which I also doubt as Ukrainians are very negative to the times of Polish-Lithuanian republic)

1 question for Nathan (if he will appear here)
Are the Ukrainians (if they are) negative to Poland because of what happened after WW1 or is it based on what happened during Polish-Lithuanian republic?

Cause in a uprising I can recall Ukraine being her own part of the future republic if it had succeeded.

Union of Poland-Ukraine

It would more likely be a Poland-Western Ukraine would Russia be one of the several other countries in the union of would you leave them out ?

Oh really? A good portion of propaganda always works

ould Russia be one of the several other countries in the union

They got their federation already, leave em alone!!! :)

of would you leave them out ?

At first yes, it can't have any Pan-Slavic aspect of the traditional character or making a threat for the "western" world :=)

Also I am quite fond of Piłsudski so im naturally anti-RUSSIA (not Russians, met a Russian once he was kinda not liked at school but I had an ok conversation with him)

well Ukraine but in general East Ukraine is influenced by the Kremlin and it would be unreasonable to think that the eastern part of Ukraine would join a "slavic"union with Poland if Russia did not join.

Will Poland ever get back Lwów?

I'm half Polish, my grandparents came to the UK after the war.

My Grandfather came from Brody (near Lwów) and my grandmother came from the countryside outside Lwów. Both Brody and Lwów are now in Ukraine, which saddens me deeply.

My question is:

Do you think the Polish government will ever demand these lands back from Ukraine?

Thanks

Sadly I doubt it. It was oncea great Polish city with Polish majority. But, Today it has almost no Poles.

Ukraine should be made split into 4 seperate nations much like they did with Yugoslavia.

Lwow should go to Poland.

Far Eastern parts to Russia.

Crimea should become a seperate Republic
& So should Ruthenians / Rusyns in South Western Ukraine

Poland can get back all those land they decided that belongs to them and keep all those taking from others and call them 'stolen from the polish in the first place'. But the reality is, can Poland afford them?

Those are good points.

Also, the only way Poland could get land from Ukraine would be to have a war. We all know that would be insane.

Even if Poland got Lwow/Lviv and other territory, Poland would THEN have Polish territory filled with mostly non-Poles. Not good! In the past, that only weakened Poland and led to its demise in 1795.

Like you say, Poland should focus on running the land it has now. It should also continue to improve relations with Ukraine. If Poland and Ukraine continue their good relations, the border becomes less important.

My moms parents came from Lwow.

It would be nice to get back Lwow but it would come as a price.
In order to 'modernize' it would mean lots of money to be spent (and potentially lives).
I mean Ukraine isnt going to say "Here you go dear Poland have our city".

I think slavic nations need to unite at least to become larger nations.

Czechoslovakia should still exist.
Yugoslavia should still exist.

These separations of these countries just makes the people weaker which benefits the western society.

I understand people like the Serbs or Croatians want identity but larger states have more power.

As for Ukraine no way will it split into 4.
Assuming it splits it would be east Ukraine (pro Russian) and west Ukraine (Ukrainian nationilists).

It would be nice to get back Lwow but it would come as a price.

You got that right and the price would be such that you might forget about Peremyshel, Holm, Jaroslaviv and other cities which are Poland now. Be happy with what you have or otherwise you'll bring on Poland what your ancestors did with their retarded greed back in the old days.

I understand people like the Serbs or Croatians want identity but larger states have more power.

Then stick Poland into a third German federation state or become a department of France. What is holding you back? The bigger the better, right?!

I mean Ukraine isnt going to say "Here you go dear Poland have our city".

That is no true. We will say that by having it tattooed on our ar*ses :)

My moms parents came from Lwow.

I have relatives born in Warsaw and Danzig. So? When these will be mine? Such a childish talk.

Assuming it splits it would be east Ukraine (pro Russian) and west Ukraine (Ukrainian nationilists).

Take care of your head so it doesn't split from assumptions.

Im refering to slavic states that have been cut in pieces.

Are you high or drunk? Of course the Ukrainians wouldnt give the city to us. Its theres atm.

I have relatives born in Warsaw and Danzig. So? When these will be mine? Such a childish talk.

I have not stated that I want Lwow. Only that it would be nice if its was for free (and even then it would cost for upgrading).

I simply used Lwow as an example because before WWII it was part of Poland (I was stating thats where part of my family is from. Do I want it now? No. Your way to defensive dude.

So dont put words in my mouth.

.There is nothing childish in what I am saying.
Warsaw and "Danzig" were never Ukraine btw

Take care of your head so it doesn't split from assumptions.

Its a highly unlikely scenario. I was simply stating that there is no way Ukraine will split in 4 like one user said. Please take your clonazapem maybe youll relax.

Before that happened somebody had to stick them together.

I simply used Lwow as an example because before WWII it was part of Poland

Warsaw was a part of Austria before WWI and part of Germany after 1939. So, what are you saying? Why not make examples of your beloved state and touch beautiful Lviv? I don't understand.

Your way to defensive dude.

I am not. Just peppering you with some "fury and anger" :)

Please take your clonazapem maybe youll relax

I drink melissa and take heart drops every time I am on Polish forum ;)

Yes, Lwow should belong to Poland.

And Breslau, Stettin, Stolp, Posen and Danzig should belong to Germany. Give them back and you can have L'viv.
