dtaylor 9 | 823 18 Apr 2008 / #2If you speak polish its no problem, though the pay isnt anything it should be, its really under-payed.
Wroclaw Boy 18 Apr 2008 / #4I should thinks its around the 2000 Brutto mark, probably take home less than 1500 PLN / month.
OP tanya 18 Apr 2008 / #5wow that's very little.. :S Can be people live on this little money per month there?
dtaylor 9 | 823 18 Apr 2008 / #6from what i know, its about 1200pln PCM, though it varies alot.Took this from the net...The union has asked the government for a minimum gross monthly wage of 1400 zloty (£499; $332). Polish nurses currently earn an average of 700 zloty a month. The average monthly wage in Poland is 2000 zloty. The health minister, Grzegorz Opala, said that nurses' wages will be increased by at least 203 zloty this year. The head of the nurses and midwives' union, Bozena Banachowicz, called the increase unsatisfactory.
OP tanya 18 Apr 2008 / #7okay thanks a lot...I'm Icelandic and my boyfriend is Polish and he really wants to move back to Poland and I would like too also but it's gonna be hard cuz here we get really good money :/ But Poland is a much more interesting country to live in I must say.
dtaylor 9 | 823 18 Apr 2008 / #8One tip i do is to work abroad for a few months each year, then move back to Poland, money ive earned from UK pays for my rent for the year. So wages i earn in Poland pay for other things.
OP tanya 18 Apr 2008 / #9yeah... We are gonna have to save a lot before we go. I want to be able to have a descent life there :) Have you lived in Poland?
dtaylor 9 | 823 18 Apr 2008 / #10Yeah, ive been doing so for 2years now, dont see any point going home, life is generally better here.
Wroclaw Boy 18 Apr 2008 / #111400 zloty (£499; $332).Im liking your exchange rate but unfortunately you are way off the mark:1400 PLN = 323 GBP = 644 USD, where did you get those figures from?
dtaylor 9 | 823 18 Apr 2008 / #12Some site, though after reading it, its about a year old, though wages remain the same, the exchange rate is really p1ssing me of, i mean, i have to work an extra 36hrs a year in the UK, thats a whole week of drinking out of my diary:D:D:D
Wroclaw Boy 18 Apr 2008 / #13drinking out of my diaryI alwasy suspected you had a drink problem. Your either drunk, getting drunk, hung over or in need of a beer.Whats your tipple Tyskie or Zywiec?
