In the US millions of dogs and cats are euthanized every year by the humane society and the ASPCA and private shelters because of the pet overpopulation problem. Too many dogs and cats and not enough homes.

pet overpopulation problem

well, this is true, we have pet overpopulation problem but it doesn't mean we don't like animals, right HB?

Have you ever visited Poland HB? I've never seen so many dogs and cats straying around. The ones that had a house, lived almost always outside.

We might tell ourselves and the world "Americans are animal lovers" but is it really true? Look at how many unwanted animals there are in the US? I would say it's a half truth at best.

if we (don't say everyone) are not then who the hell is..........nobody. Read my previous post above and this is not a lie, I saw it with my own eyes. I can tell you only this much, our pets, in general are much better off in most of cases than Polish. I was buying cat and dog food and was feeding those poor creatures coming up daily to my house in Mikolajki.

I know you mean well but America really has no reason to be self righteous when we euthanize so many unwanted dogs and cats every year. You wouldn't believe how many in my city are left at the pound every day.

Most of Americans are working their a**es off working two or even more jobs.

Exactly. I don't know anybody in Poland doing that. Complaining about a low paying job - yes, but working more? No.
Not to mention all the crap with a month of vacation when starting a new job and all multiple holidays!
This goes for the whole Europe actually, not only Poland. And they dare to call Americans lazy. Kiss my a**.

you know, I don't mind criticism at all as long as it's based on facts and not someones opinion. I don't expect everyone to like us but at least before they talk crap about us, come here first, live for a while and then make a comment and if I see it's based on reality I won't b*tch at all.

that's ok freebird, your point of view is the same as many Americans i have talked to... Americans don't take the criticism well...

and now I really agree with you pgtx. It's a same like with this forum, it could be so interesting and funny if not the mods playing God all the time and constantly removing my posts to the random. I wonder how long is it gonna take them to kick this one out too, lol

Americans don't have fruit trees around the house and then let the fruit fall dawn and rot attracting flies and wasps or any other flying creatures.

Americans don't turn their front lawns into a vegetable/flower gardens either and then spend the evening with a hoe chopping away weeds. :)
I prefer a clean, manicured lawn any time.

Americans love animals but in the families with children they don't treat them better than kids

Actually, that statement says that people who have children and pets in their household won't treat them (pets) better than their children. Children are treated better than pets. Pets aren't treated equal-to or better than children. This statement is only looking at households with children and pets, how does that represent the entire US population, and how is that clear? am I missing the point?

am I missing the point?

all I'm saying shari is that I'm making differences from case to case and that what I said wasn't a one way street. If I meant all Americans love animals I wouldn't point out any other possibilities. Thank you for showing me respect and coming back with your question even tho it took a little longer than expected but better late than never, :-)

in the first place

we can still talk about where and when, it's up to you hun :-)

our average life expectation is not worse than yours so what is there to bi**h about.

are you sure? usa is scarping the bottom in compared to all the other industrialized nations.

America beat you on everything else but beer and vodka which this is a matter of taste too. I don't know about Chicago but where I live Polish products don't sell good at all

because many dumbarses here won't try anything.. bud, kite, coors... blah..

Read the rules on what the USDA determines as receiving an organic seal.

yes, it's actually very very hard to get the total organic cert.. look into it.

of course we have our problems but a huge country like ours with 300mln. will come out of it quicker than you think. If you expect us to go down, good luck man, you'll go down way before us, whether you like it or not. More people more taxes.

this kind of attitude will sink america even further.

Most of Americans are working their a**es off working two or even more jobs.

i take it you have never been inside a factory or around any union. i bet you really have no clue what it really is like to work hard.

It's true that many Americans love their country so much that they don't like to travel to avoid disappointments but believe me, the ones that travel make it up for the rest of us :-)

that's just close minded on their part as well as yours.

When I was in the Armed Forces I was stationed in Ramstein, Germany.

that is not travelling. doesn't count, sorry.

The ones that had a house, lived almost always outside.

yes, that is where dogs and cats live. my bed or couch is definitely NOT the doghouse.

And they dare to call Americans lazy

ok, less efficient then :P :D

--------------------------------------------------------------------

chopping away weeds. :)
I prefer a clean, manicured lawn any time.

one of the more gross things about usa.. dangerous too.. many glow at night from all the chemicals on them. fu

moderate amount is healthy... ;)

not by polish standards.. are you sure you're polish? oh, that's right.. you're krakowianka.. i'm so sorry. ;) :D
