BBC News 24 have just said that there were some Polish people involved in this crash.

Those aboard were from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and South Africa.

Two people were flown to hospital and 29 others taken to hospital by road, ambulance officials said.

The man who died was 26 years old and from Poland, police said.

The passengers were reported to be living in the Peterborough area and to have been on a trip to Alton Towers.

'They are thought to have been foreign workers from the Peterborough area.'

With that statement, surely a lot of them are Polish as Peterborough is full of them.

'Chief Inspector John Maddox, from Staffordshire Police, said officers were trying to establish what caused the crash. '

Bad driving i would say, i wonder if he/she was Polish too!!!

"The bus was coming down a steep hill towards the bridge at the bottom, and from what I can see at the scene, that bus has not managed to go round the bend, and has careered through a wall and down a drop into a garden,"

Somebody was driving to fast me thinks!!!!

"There's a bus in a difficult situation which crews have had to secure and obviously the crews are working very hard in difficult circumstances,"

how informative, i could has come out with that speil

"There were people climbing out of the fire exits on the bus. There were many walking wounded, all being seen to by the ambulance staff."

Sounds like the emergency services got there quickly and dealed with the situation well.

Let's hope nobody else dies and recovers well

Maybe, maybe not. Alton isn't too far from where I used to live and if it's the hill I think they're talking about, then it's tackled best by Alain Robert and even he'd think twice. Give it Second. Second? It doesn't even want First. Getting out and pushing is always an option. :)

I'd say let the Accident Investigators rule out faulty mechanics before we blame the human element especially if it was of the Knotty bus ilk.

how informative, i could has come out with that speil

Then hop to it Jimmy Olsen. A decent spell check and the writing world will be your lobster and no you dont spell tact with a K. :)

dies and recovers well

Die and recover. Isn't that what they call pulling a Lazarus? :)

lol, i like the way you pulled those words out of the sentence but yeah it would be a miracle if somebody died and recovered fully :)

Then hop to it Jimmy Olsen. A decent spell check and the writing world will be your lobster and no you dont spell tact with a K. :)

hhhmmm i think a simple typo was the problem there, sometimes you can tap one letter before another if you type as fast as i do :). The problem is i don't proof read :):)

i'll have to go with your local, inside information as ai cannot claim to be anywhere near alton.
