Has there been any substantiated evidence that Poles are sending money back home? Other than Daily Mail sources I mean

You might notice The Daily Mail does not care about the £billions that British tourists spend overseas or of the £billions that retired UK folk spend overseas.

Dont worry bart,I think he means the scandel of sending child support money back. I have no view either way on this but do know it is pissing a lot of people off.

No view either way ?

Even the most logical thinking, fair minded person would have to agree that being able to claim child benefit for children living in another country isn't on.

The average tax payer has every right to be hacked off that scarce resources get used in this way.

well, the reason I am uncharectoristicly fence sitting on this one is I just dont know the facts. What I will say is,if child benafit is being paid to non resident children it should,at the very least,be at the rate it would be in Poland, not Britain. I cant imagine there is much parity if say a Brit claimed Polish child benafit to send home to the UK...if you get my drift.

I do get your drift and there is no logic to the current system.

It's as though the Government want people to be p**sed off with people from Poland and elsewhere in the EU.

is like the last wednesday england loss to france 1-0 but nobody spoke about this .........the headlines was david beckham 100 cap.

if they wanted they can blame eu but this is not the problem

*to mods - please don't delete this post - I have no idea why the previous one was - it is a legitimate fun reply to a post on this board and in no way offensive - if it does indeed break site rules, could I at least be informed by private mail why this is - Thankyou in advance*

As regards to the child benefit being paid to a couple or mother who is not resident in that country, ponder this

im Scottish my girl Polish, we met and have been living in ireland, she fell for a baby and we took the decision to move back to Scotland, for many reasons...

she will be nearly 6 months gone when we get back to Scotland so wont be able to take a new job straight away, figures yeah?

now the interesting part, as she does no have a national insurance number yet, and has never paid any tax in Scotland, she will not be entitled to any monies (maternity), and will have to be dependant on my income in Scotland. Fair enough i hear you say....

however as she has lived in Ireland for 3 years and been working and paying tax here she is entitled to maternity payment from the Irish government even though she will be living in Scotland and the baby will be born in Scotland.

now i do not to badly as wages are concerned, but up until now i just had to roof over my head and clothe and feed myself, now i will have 3 mouths to feed when i get back to Scotland.

so we will exercise our rights and claim the money we are entitled to!

So is this Fair enough or not?

Under the circumstance you described the child has the right to 1/2 of the medical care of the UK citizen, or to 100% medical care but only regarding 1/2 of her body.

Fine by me.
I'm more concerned about my tax money being wasted on drunks that end up in A and E every weekend.
Hope all goes well.

Yes you are hated.Very much so.

Oh and despite what you left wing pricks will say. It is the Vast Vast Majority who despise the Polish, so don’t make out we welcome them. It embarrasses me.

Listen once and for all, many British employers across the country are taking Poles on board. If they were really so worthless, which they are not, why do so many employers risk hiring them?

So, the vast majority hate them, eh? The simple corollary of that is that the vast majority of English folk are hateful bastards!! Is it that simple?

And why would that be ? considering as yet she has never even been on Scottish soil....

but then i learned very fast that you are a fud... and nothing i can say hasnt already been said where you are concerned, so i will leave it at that.

The Broons were a barrel of laughs. I think we are justifiably off thread, the level of hatred is pretty strong here.

turn up to work late (if at all),
- walk up and down the street,
- pop to the local cafe for a cup of tea at least 5 times a day,
- have a ciggy break every hour,
- ask for a pay rise.

what an absoloute insult , i'd like to know who built our magnificent buildings before any pollocks came here , go back to your own dump of a run down mess that is poland and build that up because people don't want them here in fact the vast majority of british people never asked for this and are not happy with the situation , if it was so bad here and the people were work shy then why is poland such a **** hole ?

Yes. Why don't you Poles make Krakow and Zakopane into nice places?

Has anyone noticed that the anti-immigration posters seem quite stupid?
