The reason why people "see" very few gays in Poland is that it's not accepted.

That's exactly my point, even if there was a brave enough soul out there to attend such an event he would never draw attention to himself by flying Polish flag.

As far as I know studies have shown that

Well then, studies are wrong. There's always exception to the rule. Besides how would they know? They claim that those people in Poland hide their lifestyle in fear of being persecuted, then they want you to believe that the same people who are so brutally oppressed in Poland admitted it to them and they have a true and accurate count, BS. The people who conduct such studies would not even know where to find those deviants in Poland let alone for those same deviants to admit to a perfect strangers that they are one. So I ask you what studies would those be?

Poles very seldome introduce themselves as "Dzień dobry...

That's the way it shall remain. It's not what you are but who you are, so please keep the details of your personal life to yourself and don't act like one in front of me, I don't want to know and neither do I have the need to know that. Personally I don't give a f*** what anyone dose in the privacy of their own home and I accept the fact that certain portion of the population will and always was “different” and as long as you keep it out of sight I have no problem, besides it's a very small minority.

To let those pervs flaunt it on the streets like that is not OK and it should never be allowed, period. There are public decency laws that they seem to be exempt from because they celebrate their so called life style. It's all bull if you ask me, people have been so brainwashed with that PC crap that they have no idea what's what any more. With all that PC BS they've been fed with people simply lost their perspective and think that it's OK because they celebrate their lifestyle and simply demand to be treated on a equal basis, yet they would not tolerate someone exposing themselves in front of their kid. So how's this kind of behaviour any different be it the pervert in the bushes somewhere in a public park exposing himself to your teenage daughter or be it some homo exposing himself on that sort of parade? It's still a public place where children could be present.

Public don't have the guts to simply admit to itself that it's wrong and just say what's on their mind. No it's not OK for hem to expose themselves in public. My kids should not be forced to be exposed to that sort of behaviour and government should not have the right to teach morality to my children, that's my responsibility and domain. I'm not OK with it and neither is the majority of population. Of course, as soon as you say that, you are label all kind of names starting with a bigot simply because you have a higher sense of morality then they do.

Of course I'm not a total prune and I understand that some segment of the population will always seek some sort of sexual pleasure whatever it is, be it brothel, strip show or alternative life style bar, it all has it's place. As long it's in some sort of establishment where only adults have access to and they are not imposing themselves on the rest of the society, go ahead, knock yourself out, after all you are an adult and a consenting one at that. The way I see it I have no right to judge them and they have no right to promote their lifestyle to my kids be it through that sort of parade on the streets of my city or government imposed curriculum.

Or she's not as hot as she thinks she is, and can't believe anyone would turn her down, so they "must be gay"?

Why do those who scream for equality, celebrate their differences?

I heard that the Uk was becoming a haven for Polish homosexuals.

I believe the "political correct term" is peace love and understanding, fly a rainbow flag and it gets you into the EU, free of charge the world has gone "pear shaped" in my opinion"!

I agree that there are no reason for these people to show off their sexual preferences in a parade like this. But gay people never choosed to be gay, so they can't be blamed for being gay. Therefore they should be respected. They are humans like everyone else.

The people who conduct such studies would not even know where to find those deviants in Poland let alone for those same deviants to admit to a perfect strangers that they are one. So I ask you what studies would those be?

You don't look for a specific kind of people. If you carry out scientifical studies you always choose the people randomly. And as you probably know all good statistical surveys are anonymous. This isn't my scientific field, so I can't refer to any specific studies. But there are a huge number of scientifical studies about life style and sex life.

If you think statistical research means you go from door to door and ask people about there sex life you're wrong.
Good research methods mean high quality results.

Best regards

Why do those who scream for equality, celebrate their differences?

Why not? Equality doesn't mean the same as uniformity.

And as for gay Poles, there are plenty - about 10 bars in Warsaw, a few in Katowice, Tri-City, Poznań, Krakow, Szczeciń and Wrocław, the odd one or two in smaller places, lots of gay bathhouses, bookshops, cafes, in warsaw a Taxi Service.

Compared to provincial Britain, there's a very thriving scene here. More and more prominent people in public life and the arts are openly gay, though some (Jarosław K, Tadeusz K, Zbigniew Z, Rubik, Żebrowski etc) stay in the closet so as not to offend their more red-necked fans. There's even a closed internet chatroom for priests who want to get to know other priests better.

Really, providing you aren't in a village or backwoods town, there's not much of a problem here.

@ SzwedwPolsce

Come on now, I was just ridiculing this sort of studies easily manipulated by the activists. Speaking for myself whenever I take a survey I always lie precisely because it's anonymous. There are batter ways of obtaining data if you were serious about it. Polls and surveys are just done to obtain the numbers you need for whatever political reason or agenda you might have, so you can be seen as legitimate. There are many ways you can manipulate the results, from the way you form your question to plain cheating. I will never buy into the argument that this is a condition you are born with predetermined by some gene. To me it has more to do with psychology, you know nature vs. nurture. The environment is to blame for their deviation from norm but that's not always the case. Sometimes it's the excess or even a sheer boredom like in many ancient civilizations where the elites engaged in orgies which in turn led this sort of behavior to be accepted as a norm, but it's still psychological rather then physical you're not born with it, you acquire it.

On a more serious note -

Subject: Maryhill Hurricane Appeal - Please give generously!

Hurricane 'Senga' hit the Maryhill district of Glasgow in the early hours of yesterday morning. Victims were seen wandering round aimlessly muttering "Pure mental, man no?"

The hurricane decimated the area causing approximately £9,000 worth of improvements. Several priceless collections of mementos from Majorca and Seville were damaged beyond repair. Three historically important areas of burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals were woken well before their Giros arrived the next morning. Police state that incidences of looting, muggings and car crime were particularly high during the night, but calmed down when the hurricane struck.

Forty-two asylum seekers were rescued from an apartment in Elmbank Street , rescuers are going to search the second bedroom later today.

Radio Clyde has reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered and were still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in Maryhill .

One resident, Bernadette O'Reilly, a 15 year old mother of 5 said "It gied me a pure fright so's it did... My little Chardonnay-Mercedes came running into ma bedroom greetin'. My youngest two, Tyler-Morgan and Natasha-Jordan-Jade slept through it all. Ah wiz still pure shaking when I was watching Trisha the next morning, so ah wiz". Neighbour Joseph 'young young' McGurn said "The noise wiz tremendous. At first ah thoat it wiz the young team coming oot of The Bugle Bar, but it wiz even worser.

The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Bon Accord Pola Cola and two tons of Cheese Toasties to the area to help stricken locals.

Residents in neighbouring Ruchill offered to accommodate those left homeless, but the Maryhill people decided they were better off where they were.

A Council spokesman has indicated that it would take take at least a full morning to get things looking like normal and added "There has been a pure Blitz spirit, everybody's been pure blitzed".

Poundstretcher has agreed to stay open 24 hours to allow residents to refurbish their homes.
The Government has pledged to ensure that bookies, pubs, chip shops and other essential services will reopen as soon as possible.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

This Appeal is to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in this disaster.

Clothing most sought after includes - Fila or Burberry baseball caps, Hoodies, Kappa tracksuit tops (his and hers), Shell suits (female), white sport socks, (2 furra pounda!) Rockport boots or Adidas trainers. Food parcels are also urgently required. Please try to include - Microwave chips, Greggs Pies , Sugar Puffs, Tins of spaghetti, Gypsy Creams, Curly-Wurlies, Red Cola, cans of Special Brew and Diamond White, bottles of Buckie or El Dorado , glue or hairspray.

Just 22p buys a biro for filling in the compensation forms.. £2 buys chips, crisps and Irn-Bru for a family of nine. £3 will pay for a pouch of tobacco, papers and a lighter to calm the nerves of those affected.
