if you can't see anything wrong with that.well.that's your problem.

i am sorry i dont follow all your heated debates, i do have a life outside this forum and i cant possibly know what and when gets posted here everyday. i laughed at bubbas joke cos it was funny, havent really talked to him but he's never been nasty to me so i dont have a problem with him. lukasz had been sending me hate mail just because i posted that Polish people should not be allowed to serve in BA if they dont speak English. and now you, just because i laughed at a joke that someone made about you. i dont paint the life in UK rosy, if anyone asks me about the life here i tell them there isn't much work and that living costs are really high. besides the only people that wanna come here are the ones that don't speak any English and they wont find a good job, thats the truth. maybe i do live in an area where Polish people are not harassed or discriminated, but you must remember that there are nice Polish people and there are stuck up, greedy Polish people who give the rest a bad name and thats why some English trolls might have a problem with Poles. and besides, if i was so anti-Polish and pro-British, i wouldnt've wasted all this time kicking michals ass for what he says about Polish people, would i now. i have not seen that comment you quoted. all i can say is that i understand why an English person would be rude to you if you said that you hate their country, you came here just to put away as much money as you could and now you're leaving to spend it somewhere else. try to look at it from another perspective, not just your own. if Polish people get discriminated it is only because they dont know their rights, dont speak english good enough to defend themselves or understand they are being conned. doing these sort of thing is illegal and you could easily sue your employer for discriminating you cos of your nationality. you just gotta know what to do, and if you dont speak the language, how can you? noone will help you (for free), definitely not your fellow Polish natives, so if you come to UK without knowing any English it is at your own risk, surely Poland cant be that bad!! Lots of Polish are going back because of all these reasons and maybe they will try and make Poland better with the money they earned over here and whatever they learnt here, who knows. Poland itself, especially the government, is a circus, or as my mom says, cyrk i małpy własne. Look at the persident, he's a rude, ignorant homophobe and he doesnt even speak any foreign languages. Poland has got potential but it will take a lot of time for the things to get better over there, good enough for ALL people who left there come back.

LUCKASZ:

All i have ever asked you for is an argument for your side of the 'theory' or whatever it is you have. All you come back with is things like 'end' or 'i'm not discussing it with you' Instead you seem happy with some cheap shot insults, step up and be a real adult, place an arguement and we can go from there. Strange how you call me a little boy and your the one behaving like a primary school kid.

debate cannot continue if one side does not join in constructively!!! its ok shouting your mouth of but where is your point, please make it instead of ***** footing around it. Whatever you've got to say, say it :) then we can rubbish it :)

Anyway i'm off to watch the big match tonight, look forward to your adult, constructive reply

That's a bit strong BW. The Poles were led for so long under communism that they lacked the self initiative to do things of their own accord. That has since changed BW.

Again, well said. Where does this antagonism come from? I love many of my students but I've noticed so much ill will flying around in the country in general. If u can't say anything positive, don't say anything at all.

I'm not a negative guy so I really would rather not elaborate. Suffice to say that there is too much moaning on the go. U have a beautiful country with great food and a better climate than the UK. What's the moaning for?

A very diplomatic answer, I must say. :)

The whole moaning thing is just a result of unfulfilled hopes, I guess. My great-grandfather was a very cheerful fella ( or at least that was what my grandfather used to say). He was one of the participants of the Greater Poland’s Uprising (one of two successful polish uprisings). My father on the other hand, is a great fatalist.

One German guy said once that poles are either romantics or skeptics, which basically makes sense as a skeptic is just a disappointed romantic. :)

People do moan, but it is getting better. When I was a little boy, a normal answer to "How are you" was "Don't even ask!". Now it's "Powoli" (slowly). So it's all going in the right direction. :)

Thankfully, I know many upbeat Poles. The taxi drivers who take me to companies are always chipper, even tho they have hard lives. My Polish friends are also that way. Poles like that will respond in kind to light-hearted banter and vibes. I always try to create a positive atmosphere and they respect that

I try to surround myself with rather positive people, and since I live in Poland, the are basically all Poles. Still, I love this dark, cynic, skeptical polish humor.

Goodnight Seansus. :)

there you go.that is the post i can completely agree with.
just one more thing.i've been here for 7 years and and came across bad and good things.england is part of my life and i'll always remember the time spent here.i have never regreted coming here.i like this country(not everything though) and appreciate what it gave me and taught me.i have a few english friends whom i invited to my wedding and regurarly hang out with.i've always knew that one day i would back to go back to poland.nobody is forcing me out.

anyway there are some dickheads out there who would sh.it on my country . i can't put up with it and my reaction will always be the same.

Seanus, there is value in moaning.
Moaning lead to the collapse in communism in Poland.
If people didn't moan humans would still run away from fire and about the best way to get food would be by climbing a tree or digging a whole for that buffalo to fall in it.

Look at the US. They didn't moan. Not most, anyway. The country was "great", powerful and rich. Where did that lead them? Well, back to moaning which, hopefully, will help put that country back on a somewhat right track.

Italy has 60 right wing anti-immigrant MPs(Members of Parliament).Other European countries have them too.Britain has non.
Yes there are English idiots and the Daily Mail/Express spread myths & rumours (their golden age was the 1920s when the rich could do whatever they wanted and the British working class were like slaves)-but there are idiots in every nation.

The fact is Britain is a better place for Polish workers than most other countries.
