UK house for rent "no foreigners"...advert condemned

12 Aug 2008 /  #1
This guy has the right idea

A sign advertising a house for rent in south Belfast which said it was "not available to any foreigners" has been condemned.

Alliance MLA Anna Lo said the sign on the house in the Donegall Road area was disgraceful.

Yeah, because local knucleheads don't know how to act proper and damaged his apt. for renting it to a Romanian guy.

This doesn't fly this day and age.

He would have done better just not to have rented it out to a foreigner.

I agree that it isn't ideal, but you can appreciate his situation if having foreign tenants attracts, shall we say, unwanted attention.

I know it's been said on here before, but people really should research places before they up-sticks and move to another country.

Yes, people should be able to live where they like, but life isn't like that

Heh, in this case "no foreigners" can refer to Catholics/Nationalists from only a few blocks away!
A funny old world.
