Guest 24 Jul 2008 / #1I have been living in Warsaw for about a year and now looking to buy an apartment also, originally from London england, tho i also recalledreading an article that i need to have a few doc before applyingfor a mortgage in Warsaw/poland.EG: karta podytu and zameldowanie od wojewodycould any one provide advices on how to obtain these doc.if its relevant for obtaining a mortgage within any polish banks.or other alternative doc
andy b 4 | 156 24 Jul 2008 / #2Karta Pobytu and Zameldowanie are useful, but not necessary to get a mortgage in Poland. More important will be the contract from your work in Warsaw - is it temporary or permanent? And how much you earn of course, and liabilities, etc etc
OP Guest 24 Jul 2008 / #3Are you definitely sure it isn't important.According to banks that i have been tothey seem not very sure as to where to apply for "Karta Pobytu or Zameldowanie"or provide me more info about it,as these info is needed within one of the sections within the mortgage app.also my contract is permanent with v good wage.

OP Guest 24 Jul 2008 / #8It shouldn't be necessary to have these documents to obtain a mortgage. I know several foreigners who obtained a mortgage and they are not living in Poland, so they don't have these documents.Anyway, karta pobytu you cannot obtain, in exchange you will obtain a residence permit. To obtain this residence permite you may apply in warsaw in Długa,5, close to metro station Ratusz. In order to obtain it, you will need first to obtain zameldowania, to obtain this you may go to wojewoda of your neighbourhood (dzielnica) with documents showing that you are owner of the acommodation or go together with the owner and documents of ownership and contract for rent of the home
ukpolska 25 Jul 2008 / #9Try this site, as whether you use them or not they have a good Q&A section in order to find information.poland-mortgage-direct.

vndunne 43 | 279 29 Jul 2008 / #11hi. I have living in poland and have bought an apartment with a bank mortgage, and did not need any of those cards. My passport was sufficient for everything.
Necramancer 4 | 17 17 Jan 2009 / #14Hello its Chris hear,Firstly yes sometimes some banks do ask for a residence card and alot of banks alsorequire you to be registered on a seperate property in Poland because it gives the bank more of a sence of security.I do work with 3 banks that dont ask for these documents. If you contact me, I can give you further details of rates and repayments.SincerelyChristopher BradburyTel:0048609586999Email: ch.bradbury@kre-dom.pl
