Foreigners: Please don't buy Polish Land!

im interested in buy a piece of land or a plot in poland near a less Populated place.

quite happy to source a plot for you - give me a price guideline

what would be the steps that i need to go throught buy it.

well... you gotta find it and agree on a price... if you want the land to go direct into your ownership you then need to go thru the lengthy process of applying for permits etc... which you may be refused at present

... if you are open to looking at ways around permits then the process is much more straight forward,...

hmmmm.. Breaking the law hey, I hope you have plenty of insurance.. The fact remains that the Polish government still makes it hard for foreigners to buy land in Poland, unless you want to bribe officials.

If you get caught you might loose the lot...at any rate Polish soil for Poles only.

From what I hear that is very very true. BUT, not for ever I hope. I am one single man, wanting at some point in the future to have a little home, somewhere in Poland.

Am I hated for that, after accepting more than 30,000 Polish, mostly welcomed into my LOCAL community? Am i to expect the opposite from our EU cousins? My Grandfather was born in Sopot (Zopot), do I have to explain this every time I want to be respected as a human being in Poland?

LOL what nonsense.. Poland is independent and has no family ties.

My Grandfather was born in Sopot (Zopot), do I have to explain this every time I want to be respected as a human being in Poland?

That is OK, providing you are not German.

Thanks for the agreement! I do believe that my Grandfather was of German decent, but do not concider myself of German decent. This is mainly through a lack of knowledge and a deep belief that all people of a 'Northern European' decent are related in some way. Some racists may not agree.

My point is that, yes I do have a German name. I do not take pride in it, in any way shape or form, and I am of the belief, but not absolutely sure, that my grandfathers sister moved to Warsaw after WW2 and may have raised a family there. There are Polish derivitives of the German to Polish names, but will not go into them for the racists.

I am English and love the Polish way of life, it reminds me of the England that i used to know. It may seem strange to an outsider. I love so many things that the Polish take for granted and want to protect. It is nice and familiar.

Breaking the law hey

no, fool - explaining to polish lawyers how they can make the law work in my favour... give them a couple of days to think about it and then let them pretend it was their idea all along...

the great thing about being incredibly clever is that you can get what you want without breaking laws or stiching people up... who the fuk wants to risk loosing everything by bribing officials... duh...

at any rate... english jobs for english people... only

who the bloody 'ell taught you english, hullo?

you sound like a failed english teacher... ask for your money back... youve been stiched...

The law may have changed now but I have written above soewhere that a few years ago I was in Poland in Czestochowa and I wanted to buy a piece of building land and I was told that without Polish nationality I had no rights to buy anything in Poland even though my wife is Polish. I could pay for it but the legality of the plot would be only my wife's. Now that Poland has joined the EU things should begin to change but you will still lose out as prices will have gone up so they will gain by selling to you at three times the price. Probably better to buy in Romania or another opening up sort of country.

Another racist... great!!! Does every where in Poland end in racism?

you want his opinion? he doesnt represent poland, his name is hullo. <~that is
one scared poster who cant even join. I dont think I would ask him any more
questions, and go with the real members who do have some stars on their backs
namely krysia! Poland has some racists, but dont let that discourage you from asking
there are a great deal of members who are very knowledgeable about poland so
ask them, not some Hullo who cant even show his mug on a forum he supposedly
wants to represent.

I found your response insulting Patrycja 19, firstly Big Rob is bit enough to respond himself and how dare you put me down.
Joining the forum doesn't mean your identity is known, I don't know who you are, you could be a male or anybody.
I am not any racist than those people on this forum who dislike the Pakistani's or Indians.
The issue of Germans buying up land in lands which they owned previously is a serious issued for Poland and its future, imagine this if the German people bought up big in these areas they could have a referendum and ask to be united back with the German nation, now keep in mind that if went before the EU parliament it would undoubtedly be approved.

I suspect you are not Polish Patrycja 19, and just here trying to cause trouble.

WTF? All parts of Poland, just as the name suggest, belong to Poland! As for Szczecin never being a polish city, Michal, you really need to make your homework:

We can't deny that for the few last hundreds of years Szczecin was a German city, and we never could hide the German influences in that city, but it's a Polish city now and it's time to write polish history in it. Germans didn't have any problems with conquering this land and making it their own... I don't see why we should have those problems. Szczecin is now Polish... end with the discussion! :)

you need to have a word with your self and stop what you are trying to do. I live in england and we have more and more polish coming over here, we dont care if they work and buy land or homes everybody has a right to be comfortable and as far as you saying you will be sixty to afford a home I make decent money but I would be eighty before I could buy and pay off a three bedroom home. Capitalists as you call them are business people who make money from trying to make an area better for all to live in harmoney. get real embrace your foreign friends you never know when you might need one.

Not really UKGUY, she's been a ******* juvinile racist *****, ever since she emerged on this forum, not to mention, changing her name to try and hide her i.d

She is tiresome, racist, nationalistic, small minded and ignorant.
It drives me to distraction the drivel she comes out with. Not to mention I have a Polish missus and intending to move to Poland. if I ever had the misfortune to bump into her, I'd knock her out, female or no.

No-one should apologies to ignorant fuckwits like her.

Oh dear GOD how I hate to be drawn back into this debate... but here goes...

Uk Guy... Will I F>*K give an apology to a racist bigot. Please see the comments from Giles. Couldn't agree more.
Big up yourself Giles. Sorry to sound homie ish, but it fits! (and thank you to Lee-England) I know that I am not the only one to hold 'my' views, but there are so few of us to express the wide felt open arms approach. I also get the feeling that the opposite is true, there are very few that welcome with open arms in Poland!

For everyone... capatalism or communism... to round off A LOT of rough stones, that is the way the world works. Love it or hate it. It doesn't matter, its true. (This is purely my experience...Communism is fine in principal, but is corrupt by capatalism and Capatalism is all well and good in a fair state... but is run by people that have a communist ideal)

..................gee...another thread.......thats gone nowhere except to reveal posters petty hates, prejudices, ignorance and to fail to understand that little or nothing that anyone on this board does will make a blind bit of difference...all the main decisions are made by big business/multinationals............tinkered with by EU/UK and Polish governments...then they all go with the flow...ie whose making the most money and when.........

I saw this thread and I had to add something.......
I live in Dublin & can also not afford to buy property. I also work in a job very closely related to the buying and selling of property......

And I can say that there are Polish ppl here who can afford to buy property in Dublin!!!
So does that mean I should blame them because I can't afford a house????
No... because thats just life.
