No, I can't skip this un! - Fok, Frank, if you were occupied for 800 f...king years, why don't you understand us? We went through exactly the same hell. How would you feel if I scolded the Irish for fighting for independence? We, Poles, had to do it even if it was sometimes hopeless. Know the motto that it's better to die stranding erect than living on your knees? Good night, dobranoc now, guys.

Long live Ireland- kocham Irlandie and the Irish. :)

you're not sufficiently knowledgeable and strong enough intellectually to carry it on. If you were strong enough, you wouldn't be afraid to talk with me. Proof that you're ignorant and weak intellectually:

as compared to your fine behaviour???

Daffy, I ain't no hypocrite - and you know that. As for the neo-nazis, well, your views, Frank, are a bit like that, but you have the right to hold them. And don't worry - I would first die than limit your right to free expression. But don't expect you can ever limit my right to free expression, eg replying in ki9nd to you. I love the Irish - now after this exchange even more. I love you guys. Good night!

Daffy, I am dead tired, you little bastard!!! I was to write another couple of pages of my novel, and am wasting my precious time on you guys!!! Go to hell all of you.

this is the definition of hypocritial.

Puzzler...you confuse ME with the statement...questions/answers.....I don't necessarily hold these views.........just repeating...."facts".....points of history...trying yet again to get reasoned, rational answers/replies......even debate...!

So 50000 Poles werent in napoleons army...

More than that I would say, but Poles had a right to fight against their enemies. Case closed. If I see you again bringing up this topic the way you do, I will begin to think that there is something seriously wrong with you.
Frank 23 | 1,183
13 Apr 2007 /  #374
something seriously wrong with you

Hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....just seriously GZ.........?

Case remains open.......for as long as it takes.......it isnt something Polish people on the board are happy about discussing, or being challenged on...Irish history wasn't a bed or roses eother or to be proud of at times...........sometimes it was pretty....bloody awful....

Geezus... There's nothing wrong with Poles fighting against Russians (or other enemy). No matter how you want to spin It.

Not said that......was commenting on, how things turned out....badly....in recent decades.....for a whole host of reasons.....

its one thing to defend your country...but in the eg I gave...maybe not hte brightest of ideas to invade a far bigger nieghbour on the back of the French...then get hammered later on, due to another war....

Frank, are you sure you know what you are talking about ? Let's strat from basic stuff - Poland was partitioned in the 2nd half of 18th century by Russia, Prussia and Austria, so they were the enemies of Poland and Poles, right ? So what the hell was wrong in fighting against them ?? French made a good opportunity to defeat our enemies, so many Poles joined them. And that they didn't only fight on Polish land ? Damn, during WW2 Poles were fighting except Poland in Norway, France, Battle of Britain, Atlantic ocean, North Africa, Italy, once again in France, in Holland, Belgium and finally in Germany, do you think that we were "pissing off" the Germans ?
Frank 23 | 1,183
13 Apr 2007 /  #378
Why...was Poland partitioned...though....answer that question.....

Yeah...France wanted to be the big continental power........what happened...they were thrashed..and Poles with them.....by whom..?... old Mother Russias winter and disease and the Russians themselves.....the Poles backed another looser.....and who did they hack off.....Russia

Reparations after WWI, well that didn't go down too well with the Germans.....who was foremost in making the reparations very tough on the Germans..?...Poland.........who did Poland hack off germans....who did the Germans want to slaughter as result of same....yup you've guessed...Poland!!

Spot the trend Gz..........

Poland has been in a loose/loose situation for many years...........

Both nations in their own way waited for an ideal moment to sh1t on Poland.......they have long memories......my point....really Gz.....

But the good times are around the corner...play your cards right......let lots of foreigners buy your land..develope it..make it valuable...then Poland will eventually become richer....with all the other EU/World investment too........how it all works!

LOL ! Do you really believe that we were deciding in any serious way about post-WW1 Germany ??

Why...was Poland partitioned...though....answer that question.....

Because we were bad, bad and evil. Especially to Austrians... You're really weired Frank....

I know of quite a few Poles who are working in the UK, saving money to return to Poland and purchase property.

Welcome to the capitalist, democratic, selfish world. Those that can afford - will buy.

It's a sad state of affairs, but nothing will stop the tsunami. It's happening all over the world. I wish it wasn't but it is. We have already had the regional effect of this in the UK.

Why...was Poland partitioned...though....answer that question.....

Because of the expansionism of Russia, Prussia and Austria.

Yeah...France wanted to be the big continental power........what happened...they were thrashed..and Poles with them.....by whom..?... old Mother Russias winter and disease and the Russians themselves.....the Poles backed another looser.....and who did they hack off.....Russia

Napoleon managed quite fine most of the times. Who could have known back then that he would eventually become a loser? Poles wanted liberation and one of the ways was through cooperation with France. Can we blame them for wanting their freedom?

Reparations after WWI, well that didn't go down too well with the Germans.....who was foremost in making the reparations very tough on the Germans..?...Poland.........who did Poland hack off germans....who did the Germans want to slaughter as result of same....yup you've guessed...Poland!!

A new conflict in Europe after the WWI was just a matter of time. Poles couldn't have done anything to change it. Sadly it was beyond our control.

Both nations in their own way waited for an ideal moment to sh1t on Poland.......they have long memories......my point....really Gz.....

I can agree with this.

Huzah! we share the same economic outlook! :)
Poland stands to be in the top table of the EU economic wise! id bet on it! ...in fact, id call that a safe bet! :)

Well I would be careful with this "hurrrah optimism", but there definitely is a potential. :)

Well I would be careful with this "hurrrah optimism"

nah, when you've studied economics for 4 years and worked in finance for the same, you can see a good thing. The signs are already around today! :)

but there definitely is a potential.

understatement of the day :) Poland is, its potential was realised when it was accepted into the EU. That said, yes, Poland can be the next big thing! we can make Poland an economic power, an envy of the world and it would benefit poland and all European citizens

er i know im optimistic too, but again, I guess i see something you dont (as you see things i dont that leads you to your conclusions of course :) )

but anyways :) Polish land is always Polish land no matter who buys it, develops it, maintains it, etc. But it is better for Poland to be a free economic entity within the EU as this will allow it to grow. Any time a gov't has placed tariiff, levies, blocks, it usually does not benefit the people on the ground.

Puzzler, remember the story about a little boy who cried "wolf"? Think about it. :)

I'm just being careful.

Not "wolf", but "polonophobe". One day he will be right, but none will take him seriously then.
