If there is a CIA prison used for torture in Poland I am not surprised. We all saw the photos of Abu Gareeb(no idea how to spell it) the POW prison where American soldiers humiliated Iraqi's. The Bush family connections to god knows what run very deep. They make a killing literally and figuratively by dealing with the middle east and have since the 1900's. Bushie's dad used to run the CIA so as big an idiot as Bush is his people are very powerful. No news there. I truly hope one day the Bush family is brought to trial for all their atrocities as more and more will be revealed one day.

My dear Mr.Kruk...I'm astonished by your post; bravo...!!

That's the first time you've admitted to Americans doing something wrong. You've actually earned a little bit of respect here..;-)

I think he is just misunderstood. He probably had a hard time with US Immigration at JFK once. Really he loves all Americans and drives a Cadillac. Just hope he doesn't eat apple pie

Respect from you is not necessary. But if you spent more time listening instead of looking for flaws you would find I am one of the biggest critics of Bush and America here. I just find the attitude towards Americans and American English so stereotypical adults should be beyond that. If you read any previous posts of mine before criticising my "Yankee Twang" even though I am from New York where we don'thave one.

Moreover since many here are good enough to join us from non-english speaking countries we are very liberal about proper English and spelling, and often i don't have much time to write so I make mistakes very often because nobody cares what type of english we use here got it.

Dear Mr.Kruk, please be advised that I couldn’t 'care' about you wanting and/or not wanting to earn my respect.

I'm extremely tempted to respond to your "twang" statement but I choose not to because you have not given into the American need to attack & be hostile. Therefore, it would be inappropriate of me to respond negatively; no further comment….;-)

James(seeI'm being respectful) how can you say anything about the way I speak without ever hearing me?

Thank you Mr.Kruk; see, we can get along after all.

To be honest Mr.Kruk, I've come across quite a few American accents during my travels and business dealings and, I just don't know why, it just irritates the living daylights out of me.

I really don't have similar issues with English accents from other nationalities; for example French, Italian & even German (The latter two I find extremely amusing). However, an American accent, to me, is like having ten blackboards around me with kittens scratching on all of them...!! Maybe it's also got to do with the aggressive, loud and uncouth behaviour that is exhibited by a large number of Americans.

Also, please note that I really couldn’t tell the difference between a New York accent and a Chicago accent. However, I can definitely make out a southern accent. The very thought of the latter makes me shudder...!!

Nothing personal Mr.Kruk; I was just responding to your query as honestly as I could.

Fair enough, I really hate a Southern California accent and Boston but probably because I am from New York. Althoughi like Boston and So. Cal.

I think we are both bored with it, and while I don't hate America or Americans there is much that could be improved and I pray the next election will put us back into the civilised world.
