What needs to happen in the world so that Poland and Russia form alliance?

Japan allied with China attacks Russia. In result, Russians beg European nations to give a hand to combat Asian barbarians.

Poland wouldn't fight against Japan. Unless Japan attacked a NATO country and I can't see that happening. They'd probably rejoice that Russia is getting tested.

You mean Poles?
I don`t think so. Poles and Russians love bickering but when the situation gets serious, Slavic solidarity must prevail!!

Slavic solidarity, LOL. A large part of Russia isn't Slavic, it's full of Mongols. Classic Polish naivety, this romantic vision of a partnership with Russia. Imperialism will trump ethnicity.

OK, you got me. My fiancee told me to write it and see the reaction. Still, with Lech Kaczyński at the helm, I can't see Putin being hailed as a brother. He has been invited to Gdańsk though. That's encouraging.

How about Russia giving Poland all the gas and oil she wants? For free!
:)

ha, i knew it. Problems with woman are behind all your cameleon behavior recently

maybe you should leave her more space, i mean, you know... friends

Still, with Lech Kaczyński

listen, you transfer your chaotic internal being onto the world and people arround you. Kaczyński is also man of split personality. Once he support Greater Albania, once he denied that and loves Serbians.

I can't see Putin being hailed as a brother. He has been invited to Gdańsk though. That's encouraging.

see, that Putin is also split in his mind.

Sean, forget people like Kaczyński and Putin. Why don`t you found yourself some normal people for addoration. Come to Serbia

while Dutch have fought collecting tulips.

you give too much credit to them... :) Collecting tulips is considered very manly in Holland this is why their women do the job.

How about Russia giving Poland all the gas and oil she wants? For free!

We've got a very good word for that. "Haliava" (something that's given for free). Hm... how similar we are after all... Dai obniat tebja, sestra. Let me hug you, sister. :)

I've been to Serbia, thanks. The thing is, my views don't hold much sway beyond my family or my students. Those 2 leaders, however, have power.

Perhaps Bush told him to support a Greater Albania? Chameleon? Maybe but I will always look for the line of innocence and for that I can't be reviled.

Then Poland will start selling it to the West and accuse Russia of providing second quality gas.(just kidding).
Russians gave a lot of gas and oil for free to Ukrainians and look now the consequences.

A Dutch-Russian alliance isn't looking too good at the moment ;) ;)

Back to the thread, there would be an uproar in Poland at the prospect of an alliance. Let the people be friendly but the govts play out their dreary tit-for-tat nonsense.

Not really, maybe when the cows come home. Or my ass turns green

Govts are the cancer of any good-willing potential alliance.

The main sway Poland has is that they are a major customer of Gasprom. If Gasprom runs into difficulties, Russia is in trouble so it is in their interests to maintain cordial relations. However, we saw just how dependent many countries are on Russian gas supplies. Timing is of critical importance in business and gas supply features very much in that equation. This is an alliance of sorts but not on the scale that Crow would like.

Poland

Poles are simply used as a means to press Russia and the tragedy is they do not understand it,they think it is their choice.

Even though of what happened in the past i did put that aside and thought " ohh, all of them are not like that surely not the younger generation" and tried giving them a second chance as if nothing happened, i was even proud that our European neighbor was the 3rd wealthiest country in the world, produced such well made products, had such remarkable successes in WWII almost beating everyone in Europe, even when they were outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1 in men. But when i met Germans real Germans from Germany, either on a trip somewhere on in Germany as soon as they found out i'm Polish they either looked at me like they wanted to kill me, or gave a look of disgust like they're so much superior to me, so i thought Jesus Christ they've got some nerve after all that happened in the past, it looks like they're still the same people my grandparents told me about. They have no reason to do that, yet they do it anyway. As for Russians i've met even more of them and have Russian friends and never once had they said something about Poland, they are genuinely nice people.

I don't believe you, man. You're probably in your 20's and you show prejudices one would expect from people who actually participated in WW2. That doesn't go together at all.

as soon as they found out i'm Polish they either looked at me like they wanted to kill me

Have you been attending a Neonazi meeting or what? What you describe is such a crude generalization that I seriously doubt that you have ever met a single German.

People moved on, get used to it. You seem to be stuck somewhen in the 1930's - I feel sorry for you.

Sorry...but that sounds like crap!
Even if you found a German who cared it's nearly always a matter of "you get what you give".
And I can't envision you to be open minded and friendly wanting to become friends with some Germans...

Sorry for you!
Till you don't change your attitude I fear you will have to live with "hating" Germans....to bad for you.
But I think we other Germans and Poles will go on without you..

I'm not asking you to believe me, i know what happened i was there not you, and i was as pleasant as one could get all i got back from them was negativity, maybe you guys are different but those Germans were that way, i'm not imagining anything, that's what really happened. How could you know what happens to a Pole in Germany how he's treated if you're not one. And yes i have met them i was in Hamburg and in Hanover and another time met a few on a flight to Copenhagen.

Japan allied with China attacks Russia.

China fears Japan and because of past animosities the two countries are a long way away from being partners in war. If Japan decided to go nuclear the Chinese would unleash so much 'fertilizer' from their bowels that we would truly have immediate global warming.

But when i met Germans real Germans from Germany, either on a trip somewhere on in Germany as soon as they found out i'm Polish

I know what you're saying as I've met 'arrogant' Germans as well, but these were older Germans who still had 'issues'. One cannot condemn a new generation of people who had nothing to do with the sins of their ancestors.

Very simple: I am Australian and lived in Germany for a few years. No probs whatsoever, people there were very open-minded towards foreigners, and they were almost always nice and friendly. I simply cannot confirm what you are saying.

and i was as pleasant as one could

As pleasant as on this forum?

How could you know what happens to a Pole in Germany

Because i'm a Pole and i've been in Germany more than 10 times now given that i live next to the border?

Apart from two incidents with policemen who were aparently pissant about my nationality i never experienced anything but hospitality and politeness so while there's some bad nuts Germany overall is a positive experience.

Given your other posts treating on nationalities i say you're full of it, even if you're not the hysterical way you're approaching this problem is almost as if they raped your parents with a butt end of a nazi flag pole the moment they saw their passports, chill out.

Dude you're an AUSTRALIAN thats the key word here, you're not Polish or Russian or Turkish, i already told this once but i'll say it again and this is EXACTLY what happened about 5 yrs ago on a flight to Copenhagen, i had a window seat with a German woman she was nice, her husband sat next to her in center row next to him was their friends a woman and her husband as soon as i told the woman siting next to me i was Polish them two looked at me like they wanted to kill me, no lie. One of the flight attendants was a young German woman she overheard me saying i'm Polish, when she came around with the drinks she spoke to me in German (knowing i wasn't German) so i said in English "i don't speak your language", she said "what language do you speak"? loudly, waiting for me to say Polish so that her and the other people on the plane could join her in laughing (one could tell she put on a silly smile and by her behavior), and as soon as i said Polish she and many of the other people erupted in laughter, and it wasn't an innocent hihi it was a humiliating scene, they found it so funny just because i'm Polish, how would you feel??? i got mad, stood up and said "yea i am Polish you f****n' Kra*u* B**C* !!! the rest of the flight those Germans on the plane again looked mad, they just expected me to take that and not do anything, that is how they are, i know from personal experience, so all your silly guessing on how they treat Poles you can keep to yourself. OK.
