re: I know Poland very very well indeed. I have tasted all its nasty little secrets

- If a psychopath like you vilifies Poland, one who has got brains should assume that Poland must be quite a decent place. See, nobody cares to ask you about those alleged 'nasty little secrets' of the Poles. How about your ethnic group - what dirty nasty secrets do you conceal, e.g. by vilifying the Poles, creep? What did you do in commie 'Poland'? How did you get out of there? What did you study in Moscow? Why do you hate the English people so much that you pretend being one of them in order to spread hate between the English and Poles?

:)

re: As they are always going on about the war, I imagine that they do see themselves as very central in Europe.

- Why would 'going about the war' mean that one sees oneself as 'very central in Europe'?

re: the Poles never take responsibility for anything

- For example?

re:. There are no birds sing at Oswiecim-that is the fault of the Russians

- What do you mean by this?

re: Their Syrenka cars is the fault of the Americans

- So Poles allegedly say that their Syrenka cars (produced during communism) were the fault of the Americans? Who specifcally said that, alllegedly? Give pertinent quotes.

re:and the boarder [sic] is the fault of Churchill

- Do you mean the Poles allegedly say that the Polish border (?) is the fault of Churchill alone? Which Poles allegedly say this? Give quotes.

There are no birds sing at Oswiecim-that is the fault of the Russians

That would be the fault of the Germans for creating so many Jewisg ghosts that scare
the birds away. However, birds do sing at Oswiecim - it's only a myth.

the Polish border is the fault of Churchill

Stalin and Roosevelt changed the borders - which are actually very close the
the very earliest original borders of Poland.

How the people are so fickle and two-faced for one.

e:and the boarder [sic] is the fault of Churchill

When I was in Moscow I heard nothing else. "Churchill sold Poland to the Russians". I was reminded of the fact at least three times a day.

Dziesiec tysiesy mil?

It's 10000 km, not miles. And, I left because of sh**ty government and luck of opportunities, not because I hated Poland and its people. I also don't spread hatred, unlike you, which seems to be your mission in life, a low life I shall add. I can also use the word kmiot as many time as I want, it suits you perfectly.

Finally, you can silence your wife, if she lets you, not me.

On the topic, many people in the US who never traveled abroad, still think that most of the world lives in huts with straw roofs, not only Poland. Poland as a communist country is still deeply engraved in everybody's mind. It is slowly changing, however.

inally, you can silence your wife, if she lets you, not me.

I have no intention of trying to shut you up. I have no interest whatsoever in anything a Polish woman has to write. In my experience they all talk rubbish.

On the topic, many people in the US who never traveled abroad, still think that most of the world lives in huts with straw roofs, not only Poland. Poland as a communist country is still deeply engraved

I will also add that my American cousin, who lives now in Las Vegas, has traveled the whole world and has run trade delegations in China and in other places all over the world all of his working life. There are a lot of well educated men in the United States and well traveled people too and to say that they think that the rest of the world lives in huts is really very stupid of you. You are obviously not very well educated. I have read quite a lot of things on this forum and I can see why most people soon give up and leave. Even in the few months I have been reading entries so many good people have resigned and gone for good. All that is left are a few lonely single women. Anyway, I am off to the kitchen 'u nogi' to make myself a strong cup of tea, it to me nice!

And now, he hates polish women too, poor wife of his.

I have met hundreds in Poland and no, to tell you the truth, they are not very nice as you must know yourself, otherwise you would be living in Poland yourself and not have an American zip code as an address for the last twenty seven years.

I said many, not all Americans. Many are indeed well traveled and wonderful people to be around and work with. And, luckily this is my circle. Not Tesco.

Yeah, but your experience is like decades ago.......

and I would suspect, many Polish women would think you 'talk rubbish'

I know who I would put my money on to be right !!!

your wife did the day she took her marriage vows

lol

I can see this 'u nogi' thing is really aggrevating you.

They leave because there are some people who enjoy putting others down.

before I came to Canada, i thought very less people know poland. After i am in canada, i feel some people do know poland! although polish community is not very big, but is not so bad that people do not know where it is! :D

poland is a country, people find many thing about it. Some i can like, some not :), but it is no problem! people do know poland, mostly.. the way a country like ours is supposed to be known generally. it is normal

A lot of people have now been to Poland and know all about it. There are people near Czestochowa who used to live in Canada and returned to Poland. Mind you, I would not do a thing like that myself.

More people probably know that Poland is a country and roughly where it is, than know the difference between Great Britain and the UK, what are England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Island, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man...

I feel like the American public school system is not very advanced, they learn mostly about the United States and there is obviously not a huge emphasis put on global history/culture, even American knowledge of Canada is poor, I would not say that most Americans are well traveled, many yes, but most, no.

Especially by seeing all these American game shows...I could answer some of the questions when I was 8 that some of these grown men and women didn't know the answers to, primarily concerning anything about other parts of the world.

But Americans are happy, they have a different attitude towards life than Poles, are more relaxed, don't try to cheat in everything as they do in Poland, where everyone is more tense and nervous. Americans are more advanced in medical technology and space exploration. They are more honest than they are in Poland.

Take the US Postal Service for example. If a mail carrier was caught stealing mail, the punishment is very severe, loss of job, arrest, big fine and their name is known as a fraud forever. In Poland stealing mail is common, specially during christmas, when Americans send money in cards. Sometimes they get the card, but with no money, or the open mail is found in a ditch. And although Polish Postal service does punish these carriers, it is not severe enough of an offense and it continues to be a problem.

and it continues to be a problem.

thats one reason to which stops me from sending, even though I do. I feel very
safe sending to church.. theres never been a problem so far.. least to my knowledge.

but I suppose the church has high respect. so if A mail carrier stole from a church and
was found out, that would be pretty bad..

But Americans are happy, they have a different attitude towards life than Poles, are more relaxed,

krysia thanks,, you are right.. not all of us do.. but good majority are more relaxed
and outgoing.. its more of the how to afford..

we arent free of faults.. we have plenty, I just wish people didnt have such a bad
feeling about the people. and yes I guess it does depend on where you visit too..

Ok. Example. They take pictures in school. In the US all kids smile, in Poland they have serious faces.
