Polish/German/Russian relations

Exactly witek, when the germans see all these vast, empty areas along their eastern border, they are overwhelmed by a desire to organize them as well. They think they will win because their organization is better. But Slavs know they will win at last because they are based on nature, not on violent organization.German control causes a lot of tensions, slavic world is more convenient, more loose.

Germans underestimate Slavs because of this lack of organization, and the lack of desire to control things, not to let them free, come as they come.Slavs believe in destiny and superstitions, which is totally absurd for the practical, rational german mind.

Some incredible arrogance here yet again.

What does nationality say about a person, sweet **** all.

Been on the forum 25mins, so far I have seen remarks made against Russians, Germans, USA, British

this is ********!

I agree.

Our personality is reflection of our personal expiriances but, also of collective expiriance of our races, nations, social groups, etc. Level of education affect personality , too.

I strongly disagree.

I believe the science of determining a persons character based on preconceived stereotypical misinformation (a.k.a propaganda) is as useful as studying sheep turds and intestines to determine if the gods are angry with us.

Judging by the amount of turd on PolishForums lately, I think a volcano will erupt soon enough.

I agree with dannyboy - but can see and appreciate where C & G are coming from

There are national cultural inputs into our personalities but overall it is closer to dannyboys I believe

You are of Teutons, mix of native Slavs and Semitic Romans. But, that`s not worse in you. Problem is that you are spiritual abomination and generator of delusions, from old Slavs,

Maybe you want to admit that you are Serb or to say Sorb (at least in origin), Pomeranian, Kasub, etc... or maybe you support liberation of Lusatia.

Let`s analize current Polish/Russian (Slavic, in general) situation with Germany.

I suggest that we first surf a little thru some headlines...

German state seams very active. Again. On Slavic ground

This is interesting news... Ooooooo, Poles, brothers.... I am surprised... positively

Obviously, we need to respect soldiers who fought against German occupators boosted with pan-Slavic feelings. They didn`t deserve oblivion, communism yes and dilusions of Soviet era but, not those who were ready to sacrafice their life for liberty of their Slavic brothers. That`s how I see this issue about monuments...

Warsaw (dpa) - A majority of Poles oppose government plans to relocate Soviet-era monuments, according to an opinion poll published Friday by conservative daily Rzeczpospolita.

Lone... let`s make a deal

I would start one new thread, which would be combination of history, ancient Slavic tradition and spirituality, connection between humans and nature, ... but, no politics absolutely. Absolutley, no. This should relax people hire

Lone, will you support me in this?

Shopgirl, what you think?

Ya Crow. The politics plays a dividing role often. To share the slavic culture, tradition, history...is ok. But we need to assure that it will only be informative, not intisive. It will not be against anyone (even Germans), and it will not help harbour ill feelings against any people (even those you feel are very responsible).

In that thread, we can share history of how much slavs gave to mankind. On their ancient skills, where they come from, how they developed (cutting out the oppressions they faced...because this may hurt people who have nothing to do with it, but belongs to that particular country/race who will be blamed there). We can also share musical and instrumental biographies, history...etc.

We can speak there ... how slavs are spread across Europe and Northern Asia (Russia and Central Asia). We can welcome people to our history, our tradition, our countries and our hearts!

Let us be a source of unity and hope....instead of division and anguish.

So...? what do you think? :)

I wouldn`t tell it batter, Lone

Then, let best from Slavic history, tradition, spirituality and culture show the way to entire humankind.

Expect one interesting thread, very soon.

hmmmm, tensions, well i see more political tensions in a sense between us and these 2 countries.... sometimes over ridiculous issues and sometimes over serious issues, all adding to the problem.....

in terms of ethnic tensions, well i guess if a country is better off economically than another one some people will stick their nose up in the air..... this is common within ethnic groups and when comparing them, but not all people are like this obviously.....but on a personal level i think most people make friends with whoever they are around at the time..... you may run into a racist German or whatever, but remember some people run into racist Poles.... personally i hate this kind of stuff since all humans are related right, somewhere down the lineage anyways..... i personally don't hate anyone on an individual basis although i despise what happend to our country at the hands of our neighbours.....

remember Poland and Sweden fought many wars, i really don't see much hatred for them now..... my guess is if tensions remain at what they are now, Poland's future relationship with these 2 countries will be similar to what it is with Sweden in a sense..... i'm talking way into the future here, like 100+ years say, granted Sweden isn't as powerful a nation as these 2 and they dont border us (is it me or does every country in the world dislike the country(ies) that border it, at least some?)..... but i still think that conflict between us in very likely and relations will take their natural course..... Europe has bigger problems than inter-sqaubbling(sp) among each other....

-------------------------------------------------------------
on a personal level, living in Canada i have met good people from everywhere....Poland, Germany, Russia, India, Africa, etc.... and some not so good ones from all people..... remember, in life you are only responsible for your own actions and how you treat people, whether you are religious or not...... you shouldn't worry too much what others think of you, if they don't like you, **** em :)

Peace....

It's normal....who said the words: "Familiarity breeds contempt!" ?

Yes...let's have a good laugh! :)

Listen boy... reading about Slavic history, culture and spirituality... you would maybe have opportunity to read about your own past and lost spirituality.

So, on the end of reading you maybe won’t laugh.

I suggest you to open your mind for scientific evidences and for old data which are available. Forget about daily politics and instead try to participate in discussions only on the base of your non-political argumentation. It is your right to agree or to disagree with some theory, to think nicely or not about Slavic spirituality and culture but, don’t mix politics in it.

relax

Wash your face with cold water and soap.

Have a glass of water...

Go out in the park now, with your pet (if you have any).

Come back and sleep.

Post again another day... but something more bright.

I don't

I understand you my friend.

But I would like to see them as friends aswell. For how long do we sit facing the wall?

See... but I have a small suggestion to them. They must atleast admit (the new generation) about the wrong doings of the German people of that time. They should admit with humility, kindness.

After that... perhaps we can shake hand and talk about other...brighter things in life.

I have scars in my family through Germans... and still I am hopeful.... but they must have realisation of their past. Ofcourse.
