Don't want to quote huge posts that take up place.. but it's always the same about those people that post "Girl X from country Y tore up my heart for reason Z"

People (generally men, let's be honest) are dissapointed & frustrated about their "local" women.. they've been heartbroken, they lost their trusts in women, they just think it all doesn't matter anymore.

Because of that they start thinking.. "well maybe a Thai girl would love me more.." & the same thing happens again with the Thai girl they start venting out their frustrations "Well I thought girls from <insert country here> were all loving, caring, altruistic, etc.. but they're not!! Are they all the same?"

I'm has nothing to do with someone being born in Poland or 20km to the West in Germany.. it's just life. It just wasn't meant to be & it's probably better you're not in a relationship with someone else that doesn't want to be.

As for the topic itself, don't want to sound cold & senseless.. call me opportunistic but to tell you the blunt truth.. for $7000 I wouldn't think twice about it..

Not true Europeans claim Americans are dumb especially about history and geography and this is generally true but a lot of these American idiots are rich.

But I am always uncomfortable about the marriage for citizenship thing especially in America where nothing is free, she would probably have to "do" something for his kindness.

I dont think you should get married to her unless she loves and you love her(which you do). Be careful.. now a days immigration is taking forever to even issue a green card because of the long lines at FBI deptt. for Name Check. It took my friend 3 years before he got his green card and then it will be another 3 years to apply for citizenship and then another Name check. .. Immigration sucks and could very much ruin your life if its not bonafide..

It's hard enough when you marry for love -- that often falls apart, but to marry cold-bloodedly? Don't do it! You could end up losing all your money when the cold-hearted b**** drags you into divorce court and sues for alimony.

It all depends on the circumstance. When one comes on a fiance visa he will get a green card within 3 months after marriage. But if a person marries a US resident after staying here illegally, it will take 2 years or more, specially if that person overstayed the visa. The INS checks into everything.

A person I know overstayed his visa and after returning to Poland they issued him another one by mistake. So now this guy is back in the US illegally again, he does a fake marriage to a US citizen, the INS finds out about him overstaying the first visa, and wants him deported. Now his US wife has problems because they want to deport her with him. So they get this immigration lawyer and boy oh boy, what a mess when you try to help someone by illegal marriage.

So don't ever marry anyone for money. If you must, do it only because you love that person.

its done here in chicago all the time. a person can get anywhere from 10-30k.
if a person could do it as a business arrangement and wont have a problem with it, why not then?

Well, I have heard people say just that, and not all of them are what you would call America haters. And these are people who have spent years living in the US, and they just simply had enough after 5 or 10, or in some cases even 20 years. Some people just don't want to become Americans and that's something you can't blame anyone for, and everyone can have an opinion as is their right. Time to admit though, America's just like any other place: it takes money to make money, other than that its all a crap shoot...

no, the INS will give her the green card...and he will be ok too....

Yes absolutely, and it's done very often. They just have to go for a talk with the INS where they ask personal questions about each other in seperate rooms to see if they really love each other.

The example I gave rarely happens, as this guy overstayed his visa the first time and leter they got back to him claiming he can't come back for 10 years.

It takes about 1-2 years to get a green card after marrying a US citizen, whether he overstayed his visa or not.

no, you get your 3 years green card after a few months... and after this time you can apply to get 10 years green card... in this time you can try to get your citizenship....
