I think the whole world hates a particular type of English tourist - the sort that gets all the press on the stag night debacles and the soccer fans. But there again so do I and I'm English.

well look, im not saying you dont ave a right to be upset at not being able to afford a house, as ive said neither can i or many irish youths! but its not all down to foreign investors. there are many factors involved.

I just don't believe saying GO HOME 'insert nationality here' is appropriate OR solve anything.
Its your government (and mine) that needs to be harassed in order to provide the change you and i want. I dont think its right to be so aggressive to another race at all for it.

Im not racist towards english at all! Im unfriendly towards pure capitalists that sit in their rich healthy country buying out my land in order to rent it to me! In my own homeland! I thingk that uk ppl have the least restrictions to buy our land because they opened work market for us (unlike other EU countries keep it closed) so our gov opened our work and property market to them too. That why Im, saying english etc :) because I think most capitalists that make money on us are english.

So you see I have no reservations towards any nation. Ill welcome any foreigner in Poland who is willing to work here and live here.

Ola, not sure if that was directed at me, but the reason I (and a lot of other English people) buy land in other countries is because the house prices in England have shot up, The only way we can afford to pay for them is by having money coming in from european investments.

The wages in England have gone down so dramatically over the last 5 years that it is no longer practical for an English person to work, we are better off employing eastern europeans and using the profits to invest into Eastern Europe.

It's tony blairs thought, he's created a false economy that ultimately exploits not only the whole of eastern europe, but it exploits the tax payers aswell.

So all Eastern Europe will move to your country because its no longer practical for EE to work in homeland if you cant even afford a small flat and have too live in a poor small flat paying rent to english (because it looks like its happening)! No thanks (repeated 2 millions times :) - ouch 2 millions moved already and there will be more)


I agree. I feel like my compatriots are exploited economically inside and outside the country.

Maybe the most obvious sign of capital takeover is people buying residential property but the biggest inward 'investment' at a corporate level (company takeover, 'partnerships' etc.) was (in the last figures I saw 18 months sgo) from France. And they were reluctant to let Poles in to work. Who bought TPSA for example. How many Novotels have sprung up? A lot of Polish profits are now sent back to other EU countries.

Ola, I understand that. Seriously I do. And I want my sons to be able to buy a home in their country too, if they choose to live here. I'm sure that you know all about wealth creation and how it would eventually work through to the people who deserve it most - he Polish people. The fact is for the people to be able to afford higher prices with higher wages the profits have to be within Poland. I am very concerned about the very high levels of short term profit taking right now. House prices were bound to rise. They were rising when I was there between 2001 and 2004. It can only be compensated by more wealth for the Polish people. It would never have been perfect but with more retained wealth it would have hurt fewer people. Like I said somewhere else or maybe earlier in this thread, signing up to the EU meant that Poland accepted free movement of both capital and labour. I just hope that the longer term benefits of membership eventually outweigh the short term pain. I could go on and on about this subject but it would probably bore everyone to death so I'll stop.

yeah... just think how much money you guys will make when the property purchase restrictions are dropped in a couple of years and the brits buy up all you got... you guys are gonna be rolling in it...
