Gay scene good in Poland?

I have never been there but what about Prague in the Czech Republic? They are used to having loads of tourists and they say the city is beautiful and the beer is excellent and even more important-cheap! I would have thought that they would be fairly opened minded. You can be gay in Poland and even met a few in Warsaw. I was walking down a side street in the Old Town and passed three men walking in a line. The middle man was really big and gave me a strong stare. I was a little worried that they may turn on me for some reason but they just walked on by. A little bit further on they stopped and one of the smaller men to his side stopped and turned on him and gave him a lovely big kiss! I imagine that the gay scene in Warsaw succeeds like in any city around the World.

Is is true, I can understand the catholic reasoning but surely not everyone is anti gay in Poland?

I have heard in the national press that Polish are very homophobic.

A lot of comments on this forum seem to verify this but I guess not all that post here feel the same.

My 2 best friends are lesbians and would love a holiday in Poland. Best to know before they book up I guess.

Some Poles may be prejudiced but I don't think Poles have any phobias in regards to homosexuals. The reverse, it seems, is true.


Best to know what? If they can grope each other in public? Unless they do that, or carry some banners, then they do not need to feel any phobias.
