mafketis 37 | 10,894 9 May 2008 / #31kelob, you're possibly thinking of cigarettes made from black tobacco which is .... distinctive (though IME almost no one would describe the smell as appealing).AFAICT that kind of cigarette is pretty much history. On the other hand, I've known people that think that kind of unfiltered, relatively unprocessed tobacco is probably less harmful than the chemical mix in western cigarettes (which often includes sugar so that you're caramelizing your lungs).
Arise_St_George 9 | 419 9 May 2008 / #32I'm not a smoker or owt but some Polish guy brings back cigarettes from Poland called "Capital." No-one likes them... I presume they're cheap shite
sapphire 22 | 1,241 9 May 2008 / #33Some of the Slims are nice. I used to smoke the menthol onesI only ever smoke Slim Menthols.. they are pretty hard to get hold of in the UK. I can buy some Greek ones called Vogue at my local shop.. but mainly Slim Menthols are only found in mainland Europe.. strange.
mafketis 37 | 10,894 9 May 2008 / #34I am only 19 damn years old I can enjoy smoking all i want! As long as I quit before I am 25 it's unlikely it'll do that much damage!Good luck. Just remember the odds are pretty high against you being able to quit after a couple of years of smoking.Nicotine is _extremely_ addictive and there are lot of 40+ year olds thought they could quit after a couple of years and are still hooked.
sapphire 22 | 1,241 9 May 2008 / #35Never smoked my whole life and took it up at the age of 40! I blame the Polish influence myself.
ShelleyS 14 | 2,893 9 May 2008 / #37sapphireMarlborough do menthol...(or did)My fav are Malborough lights - I did start off smoking Silkcut and worked my way up...I tried some L&M's in PL last year and they're not to my liking..cheap yet not very cheerful ;-)A smoking hot Pole, eh? ;)Is that what happens after you put one out?
sapphire 22 | 1,241 9 May 2008 / #38I smoke Marlboro Menthol if I cant get slim, but they are much stronger. The slim ones are very mild and look nice and ladylike.Smoking hot Poles.. yeah, bring it on.

ShelleyS 14 | 2,893 9 May 2008 / #40Smoking hot Poles.. yeah, bring it on.are you advocating setting poles on fire?...after all there is no smoke without fire ;-)
SlavicWarrior - | 6 5 Jun 2008 / #41I remember Sobieski smokes being pretty popular. Kinda your Marlboro equivalent.
Eurola 4 | 1,902 5 Jun 2008 / #42I bought Marlboro when I was in Poland recently. They tasted bad. Luckily, I still had some of Marlboro lights 100's I brought with me from US.I'm more of a 'party" and 'occasion" smoker, so I don't do it daily, besides, just like Billy Clinton - I don't inhale. :)

Eurola 4 | 1,902 5 Jun 2008 / #44really, I don't. People make fun of my 'puffing'. I like the taste, however. Ugly, but tasty - to me.
