I got caught speeding, doing 110 in a 70 limit in my UK registered car.He told me I should pay 400 zl but I didn't have any zlotys on me. I offered him 50 euros and he accepted it. No forms to fill in, so I guess the money went straight into his pocket.Mind you, I don't know what else he could do because I don't live in Poland. As far as I understand there is no cross-border system for chasing up fines.

Still, I learnt my lesson - I lost 50 euros. Its not as if I was a major criminal. I think the police man was ok and didn't want to ruin my day over a petty crime and I'm grateful for that.
