Ok these are nice pictures but when are they going to build all those skyscrapers?

The Wroclaw project has already started. They have cleared the area and are ahead of schedule. It will probably be another year or two before they excavate the area and get the foundations back up to ground level.

Some buildings go up at the rate of a floor a week. Others might go up at a floor a month.
I imagine Wroclaw's tallest building [and possibly Poland's] will be ready in about five years.
Some of the apartments are already on sale at a minimum of 10,000zl per sq meter.

Times had changed a lot for the good. I remember how excited my uncle was when they built the Hotel Forum in Warsaw!
He had a watch repair shop close by (Nowogrodzka). Worked well for the business for him then!

The towers in Gdynia look very nice, probably the best with their watery counterpart for a view. They aren't very futuristic but have their own appeal to Gdynia

The towers in Gdynia do look good and the location is great. But there have been big problems with construction and it is rumoured that they have shifted 10cms at the foundations

personally I like the Palace of Culture. Of course I understand the history and so forth. But most of these new buildings look like plastic and there is no conformity what so ever. Apparently there is a plan to surround the palace with a number of modern skyscrapers. They will have to renovate the central train station in Warsaw before the euro 2012 as well.

Other are negotiating price of the ground or other things.

I didn't post projects that are only projects on paper. Investors of all of the buildings from the list made serious steps to start construction.

The Lilium project is taking quite the ravaging from the locals. Once a highly touted future addition to the Warsaw skyline, now it is regarded as completely out of place.

Design is ready, company responsible for construction process is ready as well, engineers are also ready to start, and money is not a problem at all.

What kind of locals can stop that project? It's a district of offices, malls and hotels, not many people is living there.

how many skysscrapers can one build in a district where theres barely any people? does this make sense?

it might drag in some business, but if the area isnt highly traveled whos going to set up shop somewhere where its proven fact that its not accepted by locals and doesnt have a large profitable future?

I think trying to force these projects will only create anger, you have to be backed by the citizens,, not just the govt. crime will go up even higher..
