Does anyone know anything about Polish karaoke music?

Does anyone know anything about Polish karaoke music? I have a bunch of questions and was hoping someone here would know. (usually do :)

We want to have a Karaoke party where we live and I was looking at what was available on the internet and they are either VCD or DVD disks? What type of system would we need (would have to rent probably)? And would the disks they sell play in a US system.

I've never had Karaoke at home, so can't be sure but... I don't see a reason why there would be any problems with the discs and in case of equipment - you can install microphone on I think any PC/laptop, add to that loudspeakers, a projector to display text of the songs and that's It.

This isn't at home but anyway, so would any DVD or VCD disk work in any US computer cause I know when you try in a DVD player you need to worry about PAL and what region the player is programmed for?

Hmm... indeed there could be a problem but I think It's a matter of installing right software... but wait maybe someone else will write something more usefull and If not then open a new topic on that issue.

I've heard karaoke in Poland. It's not bad as some Polish women have super voices. 2 bars here offered it but both have since folded. There was a karaoke night at my school not too long ago. Still, nothing beats singing karaoke in Japan. I spent many a great night singing my lungs and heart out there.

Cool. Now somebody tell us something about PAL/NTSC, region codes etc.
