I'm an EU citizen and want to get "officially registered" in Poland

hi - i'm an eu citizen living as a 'tourist' in poland but i would like to get made official/legal/whatever because language schools won't take me on otherwise - does anyone know how i can become properly registered here. i was told that the school that invited me here in the first place should have done this but they didn't, they also don't declair correct income for tax purposes so i'm not surprised. if anyone knows please leave a message - thanks

Hi youngman, In what city are you living? There would be a local office there that you would have to register in. It might be on harm to contact your embassy as they might be able to direct you to the right office. You will have to bring someone with you who spieaks polish.

There are tourist guides out there called inyourpocket. and they do a number of cities in poland. They will normally have a section about living in poland and will give the local address ofwhere you have to register. You should be able to get a copy of this from a tourist office or the foyer of a hotel. They also have a website just put www in front of their name and .com at the end. You can select the city from the menu. PS sounds like a slightly dodgy english school...make sure they dont get behind in paying you.

You need to get somehting called Euro Pesel which proves you are a citizen of a EU country and some othetr docs, Ill try look them up.

an EU passport is not suffecnet proof you are from the EU???

Entry requirements

British citizens crossing the Polish border do not need visas and can cross the border and stay in Poland using a valid British passport. There is no requirement that you have 6 months' validity left on your passport when you enter Poland. However your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Poland.

British citizens may only be refused entry in to the territory of the Republic of Poland on grounds of public health policy, public security and of a threat to the state security and defence.

Any body can tell me how i can find a room, my price range is 500 to 600 Zlt per month i want to stay 2 or 3 months
