trublustuuk 2 | 34 28 Apr 2008 / #62My friends cousin is, for want of a better term, mentally disabled. He has water on the brain or something but when his family were away to Spain on holidays, he picked up the phone and started talking in Spanish to the other person on the phone. It's quite strange and interesting how the mind of a child works.
OP LAGirl 9 | 496 28 Apr 2008 / #63german sounds harsh but its easy to learn i still love the Polish language. tez sie mie prodoba. Polski
doobee 28 Jun 2009 / #64it's the ugliest language in the world imo - but then that is probably due to the strangeness of the letters / sounds when one's first language is so different.Possibly polish people think English is ugly for the same reason

Matowy - | 294 4 Jul 2009 / #72I like Polish because I can read any sentence in it and instantly be able to pronounce it with relative ease and accuracy (and my Polish skills aren't even that good). Compared to English, Polish pronunciation is very precise.
NPosuniak 8 | 91 4 Jul 2009 / #73I only like the language when I naturally pronounce words correctly by practice or instinct. It's a nice validation.
Lyzko 11 Jul 2009 / #75Poland's "National Poet" Adam Mickiewicz was actually Lithuanian by birth, correct?-:)
Thorontir 12 Jul 2009 / #76Huh? Lithuania dialect? As far as I know Lithuanian is a separate language...But you probably have on mind the dialect that was used in the Kresy Wschodnie (Eastern Borderlands, the polish name for the territories lost after the II World War in favor of USSR). It sounds a bit different from standard polish (people say that you could hear the difference between "h" and "ch" when someone is using dialect from Kresy) and is very rarely used nowadays...Here is an excerpt from old polish movie (1936), where the main actors used dialect from Lwów (currently Lviv in Ukraine)=> youtube.com/watch?v=PdavfQaFgJI&feature=relatedJust add www - anti-spam protection...
