how can i affectionatly address a young girl...

... that was address not undress... what do you take me for...?

... anyway - when in poland i often stay with close friends who have a 5 year old daughter - she's a wonderful kid and we have great fun together as we learn each other's language...

... her name is mila... or milunja... but i am wondering if there is a generic name or expression for addressing a small girl affectionately...

Something wrong with her name - isn't it Milena (diminutives - e.g. Mila, Milenka) ?
Czesc duza - welcoming form (Hi Big One.) :)
Jestes juz taka duza - if you return after a long time (You're so big.)

If I conceive something else, I'll let you know :)

I was thinking "cześć Mała"...
Maybe Mila is a form of Emila?

no idea what mila is a form of... i have always known her as this and when she draws me pictures she signs them mila...

yeah... i use gorgeous in english... or little one... with friends daughters over here but a polish friend suggested that little one might not be appropriate...
