UK, Ireland / PASSPORTS FOR POLISH PEOPLE TO COME TO ENGLAND [103]

But criminal checks take so long to do, it would be impossible to do it for everyone entering the UK... I wish it was that simple

In the US, the burden is placed on the applicant to provide police certificates from everywhere they have lived.....if they don't provide them, they don't even get past the interview process.

Feedback / The issue of [not] writing in Polish on the forums (part 2) [45]

think there is no need for poles have their corner here to keep in touch with their language, culture and be able to share it with others?

I agree there is a need, but you did not share it with others in this instance did you?(only those who understand Polish).....again it was in the wrong thread.

UK, Ireland / PASSPORTS FOR POLISH PEOPLE TO COME TO ENGLAND [103]

you don't need anything to come to the UK if your an EU member

That's not true....they need a national ID card or a passport to travel to the UK.

Feedback / The issue of [not] writing in Polish on the forums (part 2) [45]

how about Polish only room like there are English only areas on similar forums in Polish?

I would not be against that, but then again, the admin did point out there is a PM button to use, if you want to converse with someone specific......technically this is not a "chat" room, so should not be used as such, although we do chat back and forth at times.

Why do you want to exclude people ?

I agree more with you. It's nice for everyone to be able to contribute.

Feedback / The issue of [not] writing in Polish on the forums (part 2) [45]

You say you like this forum and you help others translate, and I think that is wonderful, but you should also respect the rules of the forum (although, I will admit, they are not followed very stringently, and I have even been one to fall to the wayside).

III. Forum Rules and Code of Conduct

1. All posts must be in English (unless they are related to Polish translation or explanation of the Polish language).

Your post was not related to a translation or explanation of the Polish language. You posted in a topic that had nothing to do with Polish translation and therefore it did not belong in this particular thread. :)

Just a quick reality check. The forums are called Polish forums and I cant write in polish every now and then? soo typicaly english/american of you.

Yes, typically English/American because it's an English/American sight for those interested in Poland......I think it would be nice if you are going to write in Polish, to at least have the courtesy to translate for most of us who don't speak the language.....one of the reasons many come on here is to learn the language and you would be helping a great deal if you would translate. :)

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

if innocent though, how dumb and naive about the world can you be

If innocent? He did sleep in the same bed with his sister.....whether or not anything happened, it's quite reasonable for you to ask.....this is not normal.....like Wysp, I love my brothers very much, but I wouldn't sleep in the same bed with them; even if there were only one bed, someone's a$$ is sleeping on the floor or the couch (and it ain't mine...lol).

Love / POLISH SIBLINGS SLEEPING TOGETHER! [172]

his sister came to stay an he has 2 double beds and 1 single bed, he chooses to sleep in the same bed with his sister.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that was his sister........

im scared that hell leave me and think im sick which im not. its just how he treats her is more like a girlfriend than a sister.

also im scared that he will say no and lie.

Ok, so you are convinced he's sleeping with his "sister", yet you are worried that he might leave YOU and think you are sick.......you cannot be for real......:(

Love / WHY DO POLISH WIVES WHO ARE AWAY NOT VISIT THEIR HUSBANDS? [75]

maybe i should just stop the texts and calls and see how long it takes him to contact me

I think that is a wise decision.....from the sounds of it, it looks as if you are the one making most of the effort here.....let him make some.....if he's truly in love with you, he will do what he can to be with you.

Keep telling yourself you are a lovely woman and you DO DESERVE MORE than being the other woman.....if he's not sincere in his intentions, then I'm sure you will find someone more worthy of your attention. :)

Love / WHY DO POLISH WIVES WHO ARE AWAY NOT VISIT THEIR HUSBANDS? [75]

my gut tells me its love-the feeling are right-the situation problematic-

It's problematic because HE IS MARRIED....I hate to burst your bubble but he cheated on a spouse to be with you. Even if he were to divorce, what would stop him from doing it to you?

As for his worrying about the money you spend to travel, that is total rubbish. He would pay your way or at least offer to pay half if he really wants you there. He's full of a lot of excuses, imho.

Please don't take what I'm saying as a way of bashing you.....I have been in your shoes, so to speak, and I don't wish the kind of pain I had to go through on anyone.

Love / WHY DO POLISH WIVES WHO ARE AWAY NOT VISIT THEIR HUSBANDS? [75]

any advice please

Communication.......if that doesn't work and you are still feeling this anguish, I'd say get out......listen to your gut sweety.....more times than not, it's usually right....good luck with whatever you decide....I feel for you, I truly do!

Love / WHY DO POLISH WIVES WHO ARE AWAY NOT VISIT THEIR HUSBANDS? [75]

polish men are good at hiding their marital status and so convincing. they say nie rozimiem alot.

But if the English Kochanie has a gut feeling that the Polish man is being less than honest, than perhaps she should get out of the relationship.

Unfortunately when it comes to love (or lust), people see and believe what they want to see and believe.....they ignore their instincts which later prove to have been correct all along......I speak from experience (not from a Polish guy, but men are men all over the world.....you will find honest ones and not so honest ones everywhere).

News / Air-show accident in Poland [81]

This is very tragic.. It was online Aol this morning and I seen how they collided.
they had no chance at all. and their families so heartbroken..

First off, my condolences to the family and friends of the pilots, and those who were there to witness it!

Second, I would say the majority of accidents in these situations more than likely can be attributed to Pilot error and not faulty equipment, Michal. These men are up there performing stunts.....there is bound to be an element of danger.

Life / Assalamou Alaikum. 1 year old child passport problems [35]

a1makji

In one post you are saying you want to take your child back to UK to offer him a better, comfortable life and in your last post, you basically say, screw the UK.....which is it? Do you want to take your child back to the UK or not?

Love / POLISH MEN TO CHEAT OR NOT TO CHEAT? [72]

yes, most men if given the opportunity will cheat

Don't know if I agree with this statement or not? I know many men who have cheated on their partners and I guess if they felt they would never get caught, the temptation would be greater, however, I also know many men who would never dream of cheating on their partner regardless of any temptation.....I think it comes down to maturity and being less self-centered.....
