Not quite, it was merely to put in place the original pre 1939 plan to carve up Poland between the two major which went a little pear shaped......ie...the Germans tried to shaft the Russians, so the Russians needed to shaft them back........fortunately for the rest of Europe they bled each other to near death....each regime was equally distasteful...each responsible for the greatest crimes against humanity ever recorded......a plague on both their houses!

The Russian bear is alive and well and only to happy to savage any country that treats it disrespectfully......in its own opinion actually.

One Polish girl has been killed and raped by a priest in Glasgow. She was studying and earning in the church as a cleaner.

Not correct, the man who killed her was an on the run paedophile...who was the church caretaker. It was a very very sad event and a brutal killing, my heart goes out to her loved ones.

The priest said he had a sexual liason with her, he had also given her accommodation in some of the church buldings. Not a great advert for Catholiscm ...again....

According to the New Warsaw express...the guy who was shot at and his little girl killed wasn't even in the bar at the time of the altercation..........so the Italian guy thought he would shoot up a building where he knew Poles lived....ergo...a racist crime, pure and simple.......

USA, Canada / My personal (Polish) view on USA. [105]

We in the EU are only really exposed to all the extremes that USA patently has........extremes in every aspect of living, activities, money, attitudes, health provision etc, perhaps classed as negative extremes....but also appears to be a a land of great generosity of spirit, money and indeed compassion.

No country is perfect........or hadn't posters noticed?

Yeah...but....Eamon.......the average persons wealth and general wealth of the country is still rather big....6th biggest GDP in the world......even if most of it is owned by a select group of people or multinationals.

Now the Irish economy is very strong.

Falsely so.........as Daffy will point out...mostly due to the Irish equivalent of a gaelic Marshall plan........the amount of building, renewal, renovation...in the last 10 years is the same as 1/3 of all the building done in its entire history.......it now appears to be levelling off.

France has serious problems to deal with, especially economically.

Pardon...the 7th best economy in the world........70 million tourists, the country with most 2nd homes in it, a public service system second to none.....ok the unions may ba bit disruptive at times...but the state is there to serve them....NOT the other way around as in UK....etc

Sure it has a high unemployment rate.........perhaps a population too centralised....4 million Muslims which is a bit worrying as regards stability in urban areas...they must do more from both sides to integrate.....

my problem with France is that it is so very self serving...........prepared to deals with anyone....not the most reliable state....at times......
