UK, Ireland / Everything Gone Polish in UK [18]

I live in USA. I'd rather have Polish people in my neighberhood than Hmongs. Our dogs and cats are dissapearing.

Language / Pronunciation difference between Ź and Ż / RZ [83]

O.K. Hmmm. How can I make this simple to understand. The letter ż might sound like the "g" like in "genre" and the other letter "z" like "Zsa Zsa" like in "Zsa Zsa Gabor" or like "Dr. Zhiwago". Yes, stupid examples but..... The letter 4; could sound like in the word "coin".

That's the closest I came up with.

Guys in America are sick and corrupt. Some keep notebooks with the names of all the women they've been with. The more they have, the more "proud" they are of themselves. Which in turn turns into more spread of diseases. Polish Guys are more intelligent than that. They are like this "precious jewel", they devote themselves and seek this "one true love" thay want to spend the rest of their life with and that's why they don't go out with anybody, until they are sure this is the "one".

And they're only humans. They make mistakes also.

Americans are obsessed with their dicks. First they get circumcised by their stupid parents, then when they're old enough, they get neutered. Not for health reasons, but only to screw around. I know this. I was married to one of those. He neutered himself without telling me. And yes, some of you will say it's his body, he can do whatever he wants. And that's fine. But when you're in a marriage, I call this cheating.

I prefer a guy who has never been with a woman before. And who's not circumcised or neutered. Like a dog.

My "X" husband. And you are exactly right, Shelly. And when I think about it some more, ya, it would be better to be with a guy who's "done it" before, because then you don't have to sit there and explain to him step be step what he should do next. That would take all the fun out of it. And as for Justin, you can call it stupid. But I still prefer a guy who is unaltered in any way.

I myself never had sex before marriage and I'm proud of it. But that was my personal preference. I chose it that way.But I do not see anything wrong with doing it before marriage, if you know the person you're with is Mr. Right. And a lot has to do with your beliefs. I just dislike it when a person runs around with everybody they meet to satisfy their desire. That's where the spread of AIDS came from. But then again, if someone really has the urge to do it and can't find a woman, then they get a doll or enjoy the company of another man. It's a tough world, isn't it?

That's why there are so many fat, unhealthy Americans. All they eat are burgers, fries and sodas. And they wonder why so many heart attacks? They go to Europe, and the first thing they look for is a McDonald's. They can (maybe) survive one day eating European foods, but that's it. They need their burgers and fries.

I know an American couple who adopted two children from Poland. While in Poland, they of course couldn't stand eating healthy Polish foods. Where do you think they took the kids? Yes. McDonald's. And what do you think the kids did? They just looked at the burger and fries and pushed it all away.

It's the way you are brought up. In America there is a so called "mass media". Which means you do what everybody else does, otherwise, you're a freak. They don't know how to think outside the box.

Australia Bound. This is your life!! You have to make your own decissions in life. If others keep telling you what to do all your life, you will be like a vegetable. It it better to make your own decissions in life and fail than to let others do the thinking for you.

You do what your heart tells you to do. Stand strong. Do not let others make decissions for you! Even if they are your parents. That is the only way YOU will be happy. Your parents will adjust to it. Someday...

Believe it or not, I do have a clue about it. I have been taken American Tourists To Poland as a tour guide and I have been observing their reactions to Polish food. Oh yes, they have tried Polish foods. And they liked it. But after a day or two, they can't take it anymore. It's like a smoking or drinking habit. You have to have your "fix". Once you're hooked on burgers and fries it's hard to let it go.

Bit that's how they eat in America from their earliest years. They don't cook like they do in Poland - everything from scratch, instead they buy prepared meals from a box or a can. All you do is add water and plop it in the microwave. And that's OK too, beacause in America you have to work hard and can't always find the time to prepare a meal.

Every country is different. Americans eat their burgers and fries. Polish have pierogi and bigos. There is nothing wrong with that.

Yes. That's true what Wujek says. You better listen to him. You have to live in Poland for 5 years otherwise you'll have trouble.

Now Wujek, don't get mad at me, and I know you will, but I've noticed that everytime you spell the word coupple, you use two p's. But that's OK. No big deal. I understand what you're saying.

Life / Haunted Homes in Poland [173]

I lived in a very old house in Poland. My bedroom was upstairs and I would always sleep with my dog or cat. Every so often the dog would look in the corner of the ceiling and move his eyes to the other corner. I thought it was a spider or something. But then when I had the cat up there, they would both do it.

I found out later, that there was a woman killed during the war in that house. My brother had a room next to mine and he had woken up several times in the middle of the night screaming, that he saw a body floating. He didn't see the head, only the body.

Animals can sense entities, which often do appear in the corners of the ceiling.
Has anyone else experienced strange incidences?

One thing doesn't make sense. Why do fat people always drink Diet Sodas and are still fat, while skinny people drink the regular stuff and don't get fat?

Yes, some people in America are trying to eat fat-free, salt-free, sugar-free organic foods. But they don't taste as good. They omit the salt or some other ingredient and charge more for it.

I read somewhere that Europeans eat a lot of fattening foods, but their metabolic systems are different and they don't gain weight as much. I don't know how much truth there is in this. In France they drink wine with their meals and yet they have such delicious pastry.

Each country is different.

I have been messing around with the QUIJA BOARD with my friends. At first it was a lot of fun when that thing moves around and starts spelling words out, but then bad things started to happen. We went to a cemetery and asked to speak with someone. He told us his name and we asked him how he died. But there were too many souls that wanted to communicate and the thing wouln't stop moving. We got freaked out.

I don't touch that thing anymore. It is evil.
