UK, Ireland / Sad life of a Polish migrant in UK. Ch. 3 - Food [93]

I think it's all about this "status quo". Whoever leaves Poland to another country to work is better than everyone else. If someone comes to Poland and complain, they get all mad, but when Poles come to other countries and complain, it's allright.

Go back to Poland Ksysia, it'll be better and healthier for you. And better for everyone.

Sad life of a Polish migrant in UK.

If your life is so sad there and you find it hard to adjust and all you do is ridicule the country and point out things you don't like, then why the hell prople like you don't stay in Poland?

Ksysia:
Because there are sheep farms.
Is there hell. Not any that produce meat anyway.

Somebody has to make oscypek.

USA, Canada / Polish Visa to USA from US Consulate in Poland [7]

The most important factor to get a visa is not having a sponsor in the US for a tourist visa, but to prove to the consul that you will return back. You have to show that you have a job, a family, wife, kids that you will return to. You do not need a sponsor to get a tourist visa because you are not going to stay there, you are going as a tourist and a sponsor is irrelevant. Some people say it helps, but it is not always the case because you do not need to have relatives in the states. The Poles that overstay their visa ruin it for other Poles.

You can marry your way offer by having someone in the US fill out a fiance visa. But you have to show proof that you've met this person within 2 years of applying, such as photographs, tickets, etc. Then you have to be married within 90 days of arriving in the US and you will get a 2 year conditional green card.

USA, Canada / My Polish husband is having trouble finding a sponsor for his green card [8]

How did he get here? Did he come on a fiance visa or on a tourist visa? That's true, you have to have a certain amount of income to be a sponsor in case something happens to him, you have to be responsible for him and show that you can support him instead of the government. But doesn't he work? Does he have a social security card? Can he work? Why two weeks? Is that when his visa ends?

Need more details

Love / How Many Dates Before Sex in Poland? [86]

Many women don't want a guy, who has had a few rides around the block either.

Yeah, it's like a used rag.
It's not how many dates before you have sex, but how soon after you marry.

UK, Ireland / Sad life of a Polish immigrant in the UK. Ch. 2 - Stress [63]

This is what draws people over here, that lack of stress.

Then why don't Poles take an example from UK and make Poland a stress free country? Why do Poles always think somewhere else is better than Poland? Why don't Poles abide by the rules of the country they are in instead of doing things the way they are done in Poland: illegally and against the rules.

If Poland would mobolize itself and the people try to make something out of themselves instead of thinking that other countries will support them and help them, then Poland would also be stress free.

USA, Canada / Sweetest Day - October 18 - 19 [36]

It feels strange that it must be a specific day.

That's when you get a good deal on candy.

Travel / Polish Zoos and their animals [27]

You're right. It's close by somewhere around there anyways. It was a while since I've been there. Not talking about the monastery. Always saw that huge thing from the road and wondered what goes on inside....:)

Travel / Polish Zoos and their animals [27]

The zoo in Krakow on Bielany is nice. My sister had to collect acorns for the animals for praca społeczna in school. I used to live close to it and rode my bike there a few times, some runs seemed small, specially where the dzik and konik przewalskiego was. But that was a while ago, I'm sure they improved by now.

Food / Is there McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut etc in Poland? Food survey. [222]

food in France is changing

It's not changing, it's just adding variety to it's menu for travelers who like to try different things instead of frog legs and escargots all the time... Last time I was there I could still get that pain au chocolat famous only in France.

Language / How does Polish sound to you? How to make Polish sound more pleasurable? [100]

Someone overheard Polish people talking and asked me why are they always arguing? I laughed and said that's how they talk. It all depends who is talking. Older Polish women complain about everything, everything is a tragedy and they sound like they are arguing all the time. Younger ones talk nice (until they get to know you very well, then the arguing starts). Guys always put in their kurwas, pierdole, jebania.

So it all depends who talks, when and what.
