I'm not saying that only PL girls are decietful, but it happens all over, this is just my bad PL experience.

I would suspect that there are more men like this that women. You were just unlucky with this girl.

I think that people in Poland don't lie and cheat in everyday life more that other nations.

But yes...we sometimes cheat at school( maybe it has changed now)- I know in UK cheating is perceived as wrong and there are big problems if someone is caught.

I Poland if soemone is caught he will get also in troubles but probbaly less....

I know woman ( my aunt's friend) she has 4 children all adult, some mrried all living together ( big house) She cooks for them every day, wash up after them, do shopping..... She doesn't have much life. Like servant.

Another my colleague she has 2 children her mum looks after them all days, cooks for all of them everyday....and I rememebr once my colleagues was moaning that on one Saturday morning she couldn't stay longer in bed and sleep as her mum dind't want to look after children. Appaling.

In coffe bar in Krakow you can get delicious coffe. I think that nowadays more and more people buy coffe-machines.

I try to be objective - there is one strange thing about Poland.

All these women we call them "matki Polki"- women who devout themselves completely to their children, then grandchildren, .....They don't have time for themselves as even when grandmothers they look after grandichildren all day, they cook for all family every day.....

They don't have hobbies, leisure time, many friends....

There is one thing about us Slavs.... we have spirit , we are romantic, family orientated,warm people- even can be sometimes loud and argumentative

Problem with native people from UK is that lots ( not all) of them are "cold as a fish" - as they don't understand us they attack us. They think that their world is perfect with getting rid of old unwanted people ( eutanasia or living them in "homes" and sending card once a year), getting rid of unwanted children (abortion) , no religion -for what? Just enjoy your life to max and have as many pleasures as possible giving back as little as possible.

This is shallow, consumer Society.

Even I admire their history, literature, their sense of humour , sarcasm....

There is one thing which is different in Poland -comparing to the west Europe.

it is kind of loaylity....if you have problems with someone at your work in Poland you talk to him first in UK ( for instance) you go to your boss and report it. In Poland we call it "donosiciel" in UK it is completely normal behaviour.

I think that this clapping in the plane is very american thing - I mean it is done mainly by Polish travelling to USA and back.

I don't mind constructive criticism about Poland but some of things are radiculous.

Bad in Poland is:
1.unemployment
2. Too many people who try too much intrude in your life, give you advices....

Church? I don't know I am Catholic and I don't see anything wrong about it.

I don't like abortion, eutanasia, starving old people in hospitals and pensioners homes( what happens in UK).... What is wrong about it.

I think that you compare so many things from your country to Poland-it doesn't work. I did it when I moved to Uk and in the beginning I really hated living here.

But I learn tolerance and it is ok now.

Poland has his own culture, history and I think that everything is changing there maybe to slowly I don't know.

You say about smell.... When I was last time in London it was awful there dirty, smelly full bins on the pavement - and it was relatively area....

Flats... in UK they start to build more and more of them as there is no enough space.

that is why all these "rubbish traders" are so unhappy with polish workers.

But I had Scottish man who put tiles in my bathrooms, kitchen and hallway he was very good I could recommend him to anyone. Quick, precise... he didn't even want any tea or coffe had his own flask. So good worker is just good worker and he is not afraid of competitors.

You know what I mean, not planted ones when you pick some of them and pay farmer for it but just competely wild.

So excuse the builders of those ugly commie blocks that they weren’t thinking about the looks of those buildings. Forgive them that Ursynów doesn’t look anything like Versailles, and that Poland’s villages don’t resemble those in the UK.

Matyjasz English people don't like flats in general just houses with little gardens.

But I think that in Poland everything is changing - In Krakow there are more and more smart flats no different to these in UK.

Again in Uk houses are nice in nice areas in dodgy ones they are awful.

Polish girls - once you get to know them they're all the same, all clones! (well 95% percent of them). Very few Polish women are 'characters' or people with creativity or originality. And lets not get me talking about Polish men, who are even worse...

I completely don't agree - most british girls i met talk about clothes, money , men and drinking, drinking.....going out..... get p...up sooo boring and shallow . You struggle to have decent conversation with them. Where is this creativity?????

I met here few ambitious polish people who have good jobs.
My friend works as line manager (passed some exams) and extra works as polish translator for Police and hospitals. Another one works in a Bank ......

But to bo honest if some people move here they don't speak English and don't even try much.... it is their fault and they are quite vunerable as they canit even read their contract properly.

The problem is some peopel go abroad and all the time compare other country to thier own country.

it is fine but some customs will be better some worse.... and it depends to what we compare to the way how we were brought up? people are brought different in different countries and they have different principles.

I was a little like this...but I must adimt I have learn quite much tolerance after moving to Uk.

can sympathize with you and your experiences. PL is a very homogenous society, and don't have any experience dealing with ethnic differences. There is no ethnic diversity in PL unlike other countries of the world.

I didn't notice it even I am a person who likes her owm space. I would say it also happens in Uk in busy pubs and bars.

Tram? I didn't use much of public transport in Uk but I guess that underground in London can be packed na claustrophobic.
